1. ==> Venezuela: Will Abrams Do What He Did in Guatemala?

Secretary of State Mike Pompeo named Elliot Abrams to
“lead our efforts on Venezuela” as that country teeters
on civil war. On Saturday, after making remarks to the
UN Security Council about Venezuela, Pompeo vacated his
chair and Abrams took over as representing the U.S.
government. Independent journalist Allan Nairn reminds
us that Elliot Abrams was found guilty in the Iran-
Contra scandal and was a leading U.S. backer of right-
wing forces during the 1980s in Guatemala, El Salvador
and Nicaragua, resulting in tens of thousands killed in
1982 in Guatemala alone. He recently tweeted: “Elliott
Abrams does indeed represent longstanding U.S. policy.
The problem is that that policy is to be willing to
abet genocide, as the U.S. did in Guatemala (under
Abrams), as a Guatemalan court ruled last September
after hearing evidence in a genocide trial in which I
testified.” Contact Allan Nairn at allan.nairn@yahoo.org or @AllanNairn14

2. ==> All-Time Best Super Bowl Ads

Super Bowl Sunday isn’t just about football. Fans also
look forward to the food, the half-time entertainment,
and the ads! Leading up to the big game, during and
after, two professors from the Kellogg School of
Management at Northwestern University are available to
discuss the ads, the trends, and what makes for a
successful advertisement in the Super Bowl. For the
15th year in a row professors Derek Rucker and Tim
Calkins, along with 50 students, will grade and rank
the most – and least – effective ads aired during the
game. Ask them: What can viewers expect this year? Why
does a Super Bowl ad cost so much? What are the best
and worst ads from past Super Bowls? How does Super
Bowl advertising reflect the health of the American
economy? Derek Rucker is professor of entrepreneurial
studies at the Kellogg School. Tim Calkins is a
clinical professor of marketing. Contact Molly Lynch at
(773) 505-9719; molly@lynchgrouponline.com

3. ==> He Inspires Gronk and Will Inspire You Too

New England Patriots’ fans love Rob
Gronkowski—Gronk—the two-time Super Bowl champ rumored
to be retiring this year. Invite Joe Lafferty on your
show and learn why Gronk credits him with being a major
inspiration in his life. You’ll hear what Rob was like
as a 6-ft 6-inch teen playing for Woodland Hills High
School in Pittsburgh, where Joe worked. Joe has
survived cancer, diabetes, vision loss, a pulmonary
embolism, kidney failure, heart surgery, a double organ
transplant and seven minutes of death. Learn Gronk’s
role in Joe’s initial meeting with his organ transplant
donor’s family! Even while he was sick, Joe played high
school and college football and worked for three D-1A
athletic departments, the Orange Bowl and the Dallas
Cowboys. Nicknamed “Coach Laff” and “Coach Ha-Ha,” Joe
coached 14 seasons at his alma mater, which produced 15
future NFL players. Joe’s new book is “Justin Time: A
Memoir of Faith and Fight for Life.” Contact him at
(412) 897-1313; joelafferty@me.com

4. ==> Baseball Hall of Fame Class of 2019

Yes, we know it’s Super Bowl week, but football isn’t
the only sport making news. The Baseball Writers
Association of America has officially released its 2019
Hall of Fame voting results. As expected, four players
will be inducted into Cooperstown this July: pitchers
Mariano Rivera, Roy Halladay and Mike Mussina, as well
as designated hitter Edgar Martinez. Invite Rick
Cerrone, editor-in-chief of “Baseball Digest” to
discuss the new inductees and what makes them worthy of
a spot in the Hall of Fame. Cerrone was VP of Public
Relations for the Pittsburgh Pirates from 1987 through
1993 and Sr. Director of Media Relations for the NY
Yankees from 1996 through 2006. Contact Mark Goldman at
mark@goldmanmccormick.com; (516) 639-0988.

5. ==> The Real Gandalf Lives as a Hermit in the
Foothills of Portugal

Muz Murray lives a simple life in the hills of
Portugal, where he often goes weeks without talking to
another human being. With his long flowing white hair,
beard and mustache, he bears a strong resemblance to
Ian McKellen when he played the wizard Gandalf in “The
Lord of the Rings” movies. But Muz is no movie
character. Ask him: What made him become a hermit after
a lifetime of being pursued by the media? Why is he
willing to do interviews now? How is he helping people
keep their sanity in an insane world? What is his
connection to J.R.R. Tolkien? Born in England and
having lived all over the world, Muz is like no one you
will ever interview. He has worked in the entertainment
industry as an actor and set designer, in the broadcast
industry, as a psychotherapist and a mystic, and even
as an elephant trainer. His latest book is “You Are the
Light: Secrets of the Sages Made Simple.” Contact him
at gerugandalf@gmail.com or Skype: geru.gandalf1.

6. ==> Lessons Covington Students Can Teach Us

Last week, the nation’s attention was riveted by a
Washington, D.C. incident pitting a group of teenagers
from a Catholic high school in Kentucky against a
Native American elder and some Black Hebrew Israelites.
In a furor fueled by multiple videos, social media
buzz, and half-cocked news stories, the teenagers, some
wearing MAGA hats, were shamed, vilified and
threatened. “Why the rush to judgment?” asks author
Emily Slingluff. “Why the hatred?” Emily believes she
has the answers and they are surprising. She says it’s
not about politics. “Haters are unhappy weaklings and
bullies whose parents thought it was proper to yell at
and punish them. We have to change the way parents
raise their children.” A child-rearing expert, Emily is
the author of multiple books including “A Primer for
Positive Parenting.” Contact her at (757) 428-6167;
emilyslingluff@aol.com

7. ==> Congress and President Should Pay Fines for
Shutdown

William Hovey Smith believes members of Congress and
the President should be fined for their roles in the
partial government shutdown. The author says lawmakers
should share in the sufferings they inflicted on others
to spur them to never again use shutdowns as a
governmental tool. Specifically, Smith says
congressional members should pay $20,000 for each day
the shutdown lasted, and the president should cough up
$100,00 a day. William Hovey Smith is the author of
several books including “Create Your Own Job Security:
Plan to Start Your Own Business at Midlife” and
“Backyard Deer Hunting: From Deer to Dinner for Pennies
per Pound.” Contact him at hoveysmith@bellsouth.net;
(478) 552-7455.

8. ==> Purdue Rape by Fraud: Closing the Loophole

Lawmakers will soon vote on two bills that can close
the loophole in Indiana’s rape statute by prohibiting
rape by fraud and clarifying the meaning of consent.
The legislation comes a year after a former Purdue
student escaped a guilty verdict on a rape charge—even
after admitting that he’d tricked the victim into
believing he was her boyfriend. Joyce Short, a three-
time sexual assault survivor who spent years studying
consent, worked with legislators on the changes and
says, “If passed, the laws will make it a crime to
deceive a person into sex by disguising your identity,
and address the broader issue of correctly defining
consent in Indiana’s laws.” Short will discuss the
difficulties of strengthening sexual assault laws, how
they vary from state to state, and why the definition
of consent is essential to successfully prosecuting
sexual predators. Short has been featured on Nightline,
BuzzFeed, Inside Edition and more and is releasing her
third book on sexual assault, “Your Consent – The Key
to Conquering Sexual Assault.” Contact her at (917)

9. ==> Black History Month: How Diverse is Your Life?

Sharon Fenster says Black History Month is the perfect
time to take a personal inventory of your relationships
and see how much diversity you have embraced in your
life. Fenster recently put her own life to the test.
“The results were not as reassuring as I had hoped,”
she says, “which drove me to question the reason. It
wasn’t on purpose and I hadn’t realized it until I took
a step back to reflect and confront myself.” She adds,
“’For most of us, having a diverse life is not about
getting it right all the time. It’s a process. Let’s
face it, it is more comfortable to surround ourselves
with the familiar. Making changes like this take
courage and commitment but the rewards are great!”
Fenster will explain what she discovered when examining
her relationships, why experiencing diversity in life
matters, and how to broaden your life to include more
diverse personal and professional relationships. Sharon
Fenster is a brand and marketing strategist and
diversity advocate. She is CEO of Fenster
Communications, Immediate Past-President of the NY
Chapter of the Public Relations Society of America
(PRSA) and a member of the Anti-Racist Alliance, a
movement for racial equity. Contact her at (914)

10. ==> Pair Wine with Chocolate for Ultimate
Valentine’s Day Sensuality

Let’s be honest, we’ve all given or received a box of
chocolates on Valentine’s Day. Hopefully to, or from,
someone very special. Yet how many of those heartfelt
offerings do we really remember? Mmm … none? But with
the assistance of some well-chosen wine we can all
create a stellar tasting experience that will be etched
in our sweetie’s memory for years to come. Let wine
guru Jim Laughren, CWE, show your audience how to set
the stage for a delicious and memorable Valentine’s Day
after-dinner snuggle-up. He will discuss the long and
remarkable relationship of wine and chocolate and how
we can pair this sensuous twosome for maximum delight.

11. ==> Could This Be the Reason You Can’t Find Love?

Everyone wants to fall in love. Especially when
Valentine’s Day nears. Some folks seem to have a hard
time finding love and others seem to fall for the wrong
person over and over again. Joffre McClung says both
types of people have the same basic issue when it comes
to love. “If you want to find and fall in love with the
right person you need to already be in love—with
yourself!” The author of “The Heart of the Matter” will
suggest ways to go from “wishing for love” to “loving
who you truly are” and explain how tending to your own
needs can bring unexpected benefits to your life. Give
listeners a quick test to see what area they may need
to bolster with more self-love, and learn simple ways
to start and end the day with self-appreciation and
gratitude. Joffre McClung has appeared on numerous
radio and TV programs. A former media producer,
independent filmmaker, and author, she takes the
esoteric and brings it back down to earth with a big
dose of common sense. Contact her at (917) 994-0225
(TX); JMcClung@rtirguests.com

12. ==> Never Make a Mistake in Love Again!

Pick the wrong date or mate, and you could face: break-
ups/divorce, lonely single parenting, financial
challenges, years of regret, even abuse. Perhaps you’ll
become a statistic in #MeToo! So what’s to know, to
protect yourself? Interview psychotherapist/sex-
therapist and relationship expert Beatty Cohan, Ph.D.,
known for helping tens-of-thousands via her counseling,
her best-selling book “For Better, For Worse Forever:
Discover the Path to Lasting Love”, and her Ask Beatty
radio program. Ask Beatty: What are the 5 best things
to have in common with a romantic partner? How risky
are office romances? Is delaying sex wise or foolish?
Do blind dates work? What indicates your new flame is
Mr./Ms. Wrong? Contact Beatty Cohan at (941) 914-3063;
beattycohan.msw@gmail.com

13. ==> Easily Organize Your Health History – A Life-
Saving Practice

It makes sense to organize and document your health
history, including: medical conditions, surgeries,
childhood health history, immunizations, allergies,
dental procedures, doctor/E.R. visits, and more. It can
save your life! Invite RN/APRN (nurse practitioner) and
author Anne McAwley-LeDuc to discuss strategies for the
best health journey. Ask her to explore on-air: How can
organizing your health history be easier than keeping
receipts, recipes or mail? Why should you start
recording health info about your child before birth?
What often happens to health records when you move,
change doctors or travel frequently? Anne McAwley-LeDuc
is the author of the critically-acclaimed workbook
“Personal Health Organizer: Record Your Medical and
Dental History, Birth Through Life”. Contact her at
(860) 642-1786; a.mcawley.leduc@charter.net

14. ==> Finally — A Viable Solution to the Opioid
Epidemic

Today’s opioid epidemic is eroding the core of society,
in terms of cost and human suffering. Almost everyone
knows someone affected by the opioid problem, as 87% of
people on opioids have chronic pain. The answers have
been revealed in the last 10 years of neuroscience
research, but little of this knowledge has been adopted
by mainstream medicine. That’s the message of Dr. David
Hanscom, author of “Back in Control: A Surgeon’s
Roadmap Out of Chronic Pain”. This expert presents a
self-directed, literature-based plan for becoming pain-
free. It’s the solution to the opioid crisis! As your
on-air guest, Dr. Hanscom will talk about his
discoveries and reveal why he says: “What most doctors
don’t know can and will harm you.” Dr. Hanscom will
also explore what makes most treatments for pain
ineffective. Ask him about the reason today’s opioid
crisis affects all ages, all families, all businesses,
and our economy. Contact him dnhanscom@gmail.com

15. ==> Fulfill Your Dreams Regardless of Your Career
Disappointments

Sadly, millions of people hate their jobs and dread
going to work every day. That contributes to work-
related disappointments and strains relationships,
finances, parenting and health. Yet studies show that
following your dreams — including entrepreneurial
goals — can mean happier, more abundant and purposeful
living. Explore this on-air with Dr. Dragos Bratasanu,
author of “The Pursuit of Dreams”. He’ll give listeners
advice on how to fulfill dreams regardless of
circumstances. This expert will answer questions like:
What qualities help you be your own boss? How can you
select a business venture, and what are the initial
steps to take? Can you succeed without pricey
investments or family upheaval? What can Americans
learn from other nations/cultures? Contact Dr. Dragos
Bratasanu at +64 21026 12004 (New Zealand);
hello@drdragos.com.

16. ==> Your Kids Might Not Be College Material, They
Could Be Something Better!

Why is this old myth still around? It’s the one that
says: “You must attend and finish college to earn the
best career opportunities and future income.” But
Americans are learning that a college degree doesn’t
guarantee wealth, happiness or success. What it does
guarantee is a high price-tag (often tied to years of
difficult student loans) — plus a delay in joining the
workforce. College students can also choose the wrong
major, hate their eventual jobs, or lose to negative
influences (drinking, drugs) common to college
campuses. That’s the message of Joe Swinger, author of
“Awaken the Magic Within” and founder/CEO of Self-
Mastery Leadership Academy. Invite Joe to share
effective 21st Century alternatives to the college run-
around. He’ll introduce your audience to more
affordable learning programs/activities,
entrepreneurial goals and lucrative career paths that
don’t require a time-consuming, expensive college
degree. Ask Joe about his own story of becoming a
successful boss, educator and innovator. Contact him at
(801) 865-7849; authorjoeswinger@gmail.com

17. ==> Students Should Be Able to Rate Their Teachers!

Students in college get to evaluate their teachers…
so why hasn’t this become the norm in high schools and
even grade schools, whether in private school settings,
cyber/charter schools, or public school systems? Learn
more when you interview education expert Barb Daniels,
author of the Timmy Teacup series of books on self-
esteem and anti-bullying. She’ll explain how schools
can establish rate-teacher systems that go beyond
complaint forums to create real change that benefits
everyone and enhances education. Barb says the rewards
include fewer bullying issues, less anger and
frustration among teachers, and improved
student/faculty relationships as well as higher
motivation among student athletes, higher grades, and
more mature youngsters and teens ready to work
effectively with their educators. Barb’s rating system
advice is designed to help faculty feel more fulfilled
and serve the entire school community because the most
important “clients” (students) are the watchdogs.

18. ==> Reset Your Health with Yoga

Many people vowed to start 2019 by watching what they
ate, exercising more and paying attention to their
wellness. But just one month into the year they may be
frustrated and backsliding—or placing their trust in
some fad diet. Adelfa Marie Samson has one word for
them: yoga. Listeners may know that yoga’s benefits
include increased flexibility, discipline, stress
relief and physical fitness, but they may not realize a
weekly yoga class won’t get them the balanced life
they’re hoping for if they don’t incorporate diet and
meditation. You’ll learn how to find the right yoga
teacher, which Indian spices you should add to your
diet for their nutritional and curative aspects and
ways to overcome common obstacles to meditation. A
master of her craft, Samson leads retreats globally and
is the lead yoga trainer at Kishore Kendra Trust Yoga
School in Bangalore, India. She is the author of “Yoga
for Daily Living: Balancing Body, Mind and Spirit for
Health, Happiness and Peace.” Contact Adelfa Marie
Samson at (916) 243-5644; trinityyoga108@gmail.com

20. ==> Aerospace Engineer Says Smart People Take God
Seriously

heavens) says “You are nothing without God!” and
“Here’s how to find a path to eternal life” – wise
people listen and want to know more. Interview Camilo
Graza, a man who balances science and faith, and
discover why he was compelled to become a lay preacher
AND aerospace engineer. He’ll take listener questions
and reveal surprising biblical teachings for the 21st
Century including the creation of the Universe and this

and worship are so important and relevant for everyone,
and whether faith alone is enough for salvation. You’ll
learn what it takes to make your life holy and even
signs of the End Times we cannot ignore! Camilo Graza
is the author of “Passport to Heavenly Eternal Life”.
