1. ==> Christine Blasey Ford, I Believe You
Goldie Taylor understands why Christine Blasey Ford
kept her sexual assault a secret for three decades. She
too was abused in high school, by a football coach, and
told no one for 30 years until she
found out her abuser was working in a neighboring
school district and still had access to students. She
believes Blasey Ford’s claims, but also believes it’s
quite possible that Kavanaugh will still be
confirmed to the High Court. “Some will contend that
Kavanaugh’s behavior at age 17 should be dismissed as
the mistakes of a drunken school boy and have no
bearing on his future. This boys-will-be-boys
(and dare I say white boys) mentality when it involves
sexual impropriety presents a danger to every young
woman. It says she will not be believed and, even if
she is, it does not matter. She does not
matter.” Goldie Taylor is a novelist, opinion writer
and former political strategist. She’s been a featured
political analyst on nearly every major news network
and has been a guest on numerous shows
including Good Morning America, Dr. Phil and NPR’s All
Things Considered. Her novel, “Paper Gods,” is due out
in October. Contact her at contact@goldietaylor.com or
@goldietaylor
2. ==> Kavanaugh, Weinstein and the Definition of
Consent
Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh and Harvey
Weinstein, (who’s back in court on Sept 20th) both
demonstrate the critical need to define consent in our
laws. Joyce Short says ” Defining ‘consent’ is
the critical key to conquer sexual assault, but 76% of
the states and territories of the US, including NY
where Weinstein is on trial, have no consent
definition. Neither does federal law. Enough is
enough!” Short, a three-time sexual assault survivor,
spent years researching consent. She says, “#MeToo and
#TimesUp focused a glaring light on sexual assault. But
we still need a solution.
Standardizing consent is critical to that solution.”
Short is the author of “Combating Romance Scams: Why
Lying to Get Laid Is a Crime!” “Carnal Abuse by
Deceit,” and a TEDx talk entitled “When Yes Means
No: The Truth about Consent.” Contact her at (917)

3. ==> The Elephant in the Sacristy Revisited
Sixteen years ago, at the height of the 2002 clergy sex
scandals in the Catholic church and on the eve of a
meeting of bishops in Dallas, The Weekly Standard
published an essay by Mary Eberstadt called
“The Elephant in the Sacristy.” It included an in-depth
look at some of the most notorious clergy abuse cases
of the time. She now writes that the Catholic Church,
despite the latest news of more clergy
abuse, is in a far better place than it was 16 years
ago. She explains what has changed, what needs to
happen next and why she believes there’s reason for
hope.
“Good things will come of the evil confronted today.
Judging by the signs of newfound courage and
questioning, they already are. The ultimate legacy of
2018, whether we live to see it in this world or
not, will be a holier and more transparent church.”
Mary Eberstadt is senior research fellow at the Faith &
Reason Institute. An essayist, novelist, and author of
several books of non-fiction, her
writing has appeared in TIME, the Wall Street Journal,
The Weekly Standard, and other outlets. Contact her at

4. ==> The Post-Financial Crisis Cooperative Business
Boom
This month marks the 10-year anniversary of the Lehman
Brothers bankruptcy and the beginning of the most
severe financial crisis and economic downturn since the
Great Depression. Invite Nathan Schneider
to discuss how, in the years since, there’s been a
revival in another kind of business that could provide
a real alternative to Wall Street. “Cooperatives are
businesses owned by and accountable to their
participants — ranging from small grocery stores to
Cabot Creamery and Organic Valley, from Ace Hardware to
the Associated Press. There’s a new generation bringing
this legacy into the 21st century,
building co-ops out of Bitcoin and low-wage care-work,
challenging the likes of Uber and the coal industry, as
electric co-ops are doing.” Nathan Schneider is a
professor of media studies at the
University of Colorado Boulder. He is the author of
“Everything for Everyone: The Radical Tradition That Is
Shaping the Next Economy.” Contact him at

5. ==> HBO’s The Deuce-Meets the Princess of 42nd
Street
HBO’s acclaimed series The Deuce is back! The show is
set in New York’s Times Square when pornography,
prostitutes and drugs were rampant. Romola Hodas says
watching the series with an actor playing her
dad is surreal; like watching her life play out on TV!
Romola s father was known as Times Square’s King of
Porn. He almost single-handedly developed Times Square
into New York’s hub of pornography and
adult entertainment in the 60s through the 80s, when
peep shows and live sex acts lined the streets. As the
oldest daughter of Martin Hodas, Romola grew up in a
chaotic whirlwind of swingers, mental
illness, drugs and organized crime. At the same time,
she was also protecting her three siblings from a
mother with bipolar and personality disorder. Invite
her on your show and hear how she survived two
attempted kidnappings, took family vacations with
mobsters, and what she thinks about the series.
Listeners can even win a copy of her book “The Princess
of 42nd Street surviving my childhood as the
Daughter of Times Square’s King of Porn.” Contact
Romola Hodas at (917) 863-1533; Harmony@Romola.com
6. ==> Getting Back to Business after the Hurricane
Hurricane Florence not only destroyed homes throughout
the Carolinas, it also battered thousands of businesses
in the region. Donna Childs, a former reinsurance
executive, can explain what businesses now
face after the massive storm, where they can turn for
help, and how business owners, just like home owners,
should plan for disasters. Donna’s been honored by the
American Red Cross for her volunteer
work helping small businesses in the Gulf Coast states
recover from Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav and Ike. She’s
dealt with disasters around the world and at Ground
Zero, where her business and home were
based on 9/11. Donna has appeared on local and national
radio and TV programs and is the author of “Prepare for
the Worst, Plan for the Best: Disaster Preparedness and
Recovery for Small Businesses,”
Contact her at (401) 615-4000; dchilds@prisere.com
7. ==> Prepare for Post-Hurricane Scam Surge
Unfortunately, if your home is damaged in a hurricane,
the dangers don’t end when the storm does. Unscrupulous
home repair scams skyrocket after a natural disaster.
William Francavilla says thieves know
their victims’ vulnerabilities and are always looking
for opportunities to steal their money. Invite him to
explain how to avoid being ripped off in a storm-
related repair, share common home-repair
scams, and what you need to know before hiring anyone
to work on your house. Francavilla is the author of
“The Madoffs Among Us, Combat the Scammers, Con Artists
and Thieves Who Are Plotting to Steal
your Money.” He’s a CFP and former senior vice
president, director of Wealth Management for Legg Mason
who has extensive media experience. Contact him at
(757) 870-4590; wmfrancavilla@gmail.com
8. ==> Here’s Why Incompetent Coworkers Don’t Get Fired
Every company has one: an employee who should be fired
but isn’t. You know, the person who comes in late and
leaves early. Or takes credit for other people’s work.
Or, like the character Creed in “The
Office,” is just plain incompetent. Business consultant
Bonnie Sussman Versace can address this common but
mystifying situation. She knows why employers don’t
fire these awful employees and what a
terrible toll this takes on everyone else. She says,
“One employee can bring a company to its knees. It
becomes a lack of accountability on the boss’ part for
his or her inaction.” Bonnie is the author
of “Recipes for Thoughtful Leadership and Healthy
Culture.” She is the author of numerous articles for
Business Weekly, the Reading Eagle, and Lehigh Business
Journal. Contact her at (610) 301-2194 or

9. ==> Watch Out — Embezzlers Are Using QuickBooks® to
Steal from You
Small business owners/managers, entrepreneurs and
anyone with a bank account will want to hear from
profitability specialist Ruth King on how to protect
their assets from embezzlers—especially when such
criminals use QuickBooks® to access private financial
information. Author of several best-selling finance
books including “The Ugly Truth about Cash” series,
King will reveal how brazen thieves capture
information and falsify/steal/alter YOUR QuickBooks®
record, and why the crime may not be discovered for
weeks or even months. As your interview guest, King
will also reveal how to identify and address
your financial vulnerabilities before it’s too late.
She’ll explore: How embezzlers hack into online info…
The first signs of tampering… How your checking
account is at risk… What it takes to
protect the QuickBooks® programs that help you run your
business… Even what happens if your employees are in
on the scam. Contact Ruth King at (770) 729-8000;

10. ==> Stop Blaming Social Media for Kids’ Problems
Whether it’s Facebook, Instagram or SnapChat, social
media has a firm hold on Americans, and kids and young
adults in particular. And with rising rates of
depression and suicide among the same group,
many wonder if there’s a connection. Joffre McClung
says there is, but it’s not the root of the problem.
“The issue isn’t so much the social media itself, it’s
that young people are constantly looking
outside of themselves for their worth, value and sense
of being good enough.” She’ll explain the many ways
lack of self-love affects our lives and share concrete
ways to take your power back from social
media. You’ll hear how parents can help kids develop
their own sense of self-love and why you should
incorporate five simple self-gratitude practices into
your daily life. Joffre McClung has appeared on
numerous radio and TV programs including CBS TV-Austin
TX, Hay House Radio and The Joe Franklin Show. A former
media producer, independent filmmaker, and author,
Joffre takes the esoteric and brings it
back down to earth with a big dose of common sense. Her
latest book is “The Heart of the Matter.” Contact her
at (917) 690-5619 (TX); joffremcclung@gmail.com
11. ==> Are Life Insurance Companies Committing Elder
Abuse?
Most people buy insurance from a friendly agent at a
specific time and for a specific purpose… but did you
know that 90% of all policies lapse before maturity? Or
that when you don’t need your policy any
longer you could sell it? For cash? Chances are you
have no idea the hidden cash value of your policy… or
that you are paying more than you should for the policy
you have.
Interview David Kottler, the Insurance Doctor ™, about
these and other best kept secrets that insurance
companies don’t want you to know! He can explain what
you need to ask to figure out exactly what
your policy is worth. David is an attorney,
entrepreneur, financial planner and renowned speaker
who combines his legal and business experience with a
passion for philanthropy. Contact him at (216)

12. ==> Sept. is Pain Awareness Month – Opioid
Alternatives
100 million Americans suffer from chronic pain. The
opioid crisis, which started with the overuse of
prescription painkillers, continues to escalate and as
a result many chronic pain patients are losing
access to the opioids they’ve depended on for decades.
September is an opportune time to focus on this issue.
Chronic pain expert Cindy Perlin is available to
discuss safe and effective alternative pain
treatments. Perlin is a Licensed Clinical Social
Worker, certified biofeedback practitioner and chronic
pain survivor. She is the author of “The Truth About
Chronic Pain Treatments: The Best and Worst
Strategies for Becoming Pain Free” and the creator of
the online Alternative Pain Treatment Directory. She is
a seasoned radio guest who has appeared on dozens of
radio shows and podcasts. She can be
reached at cindyperlin@gmail.com or at (518) 439-6431.
13. ==> Feed These Foods to Your Kids for Higher Grades
If you want your kids to get good grades, pay attention
to what you feed them, says Adita Lang, a parent who
lectures on nutrition at the university level. For
example, she’ll explain why you don’t want
your kids to eat mac ’n’ cheese for lunch but a pancake
breakfast is a great idea as long as it contains the
secret ingredient she’ll reveal. You’ll also learn why
black grapes are better than green
grapes and other tips worth knowing. Adita says, “The
average parent does not know how to feed their
children!” She knows parents are busy and easily
tempted to grab convenience foods for family
meals—including kids’ lunches. But, as she’ll point
out, food is fuel and when you feed your school
children the right foods they’ll benefit from better
brain development, focus, clarity and stronger
immune systems; what parent doesn’t want that? During
30 years in the wellness industry, Adita has worked
with thousands of individuals and been quoted in
Fitness and Shape. Adita is the author of
“SuperPowers, A Busy Woman’s Guide to Health and
Happiness.” Reach her at (305) 794-6505;

14. ==> Thanks Selena: Artists Shine Light in the
Darkness
Some artists, like Selena Gomez, are open about their
health battles. The actress has spoken about struggling
with lupus but many artists shy away from revealing
their personal health struggles. Pop
singer/songwriter Lisa Sniderman (Aoede) applauds
Selena’s honesty and using her notoriety to help
educate and raise awareness about chronic illness. She
says sharing your journey is powerful—and
healing–for you and others who are struggling. Lisa
realized midway through her 10-year battle with a rare,
auto-immune disease that her art wasn’t just
therapeutic, it had become a lifeline, and
creativity was her path to healing. She’s collaborated
with more than 50 artists, musicians, and authors who
have turned to creativity to heal and will share their
stories during her live/streaming event
‘Lights in the Darkness-Creating to Heal’ this
December. Lisa says, “My vision is to share how we’ve
become lights for others through our stories and art,
focused on the art of healing.” Lisa has been
honored with more than 50 awards and has been
considered multiple times for a GRAMMY. “A Light in the
Darkness: Transcending Chronic Illness through the
Power of Art and Attitude,” intended to inspire
those who are struggling with or know someone who
battles chronic illness, disability, or unexpected life
events, will be released September 21, Myositis
Awareness Day. Contact her at (415) 713-6193;

16. ==> What This Divorced Pastor Learned About Staying
Married
When Pastor Eric Hawthorne’s wife asked him for a
divorce, he was stunned, because he thought he was a
good husband. He later learned that he was perhaps too
good. “The biggest mistake is that I am an
easy going person and like nothing but peace,” he says.
“If we had disagreements, as opposed to standing my
ground and letting her know how I felt, I would be
quiet to keep the peace. This was the worst
thing I could have done.” The single dad to two boys
aged 10 and 12 learned his lesson the hard way. Now, he
teaches couples on the brink of matrimony how to avoid
his mistakes to forge loving bonds of
respect that lead to successful marriages. Eric
Hawthorne is the second-generation pastor of Daystar
Deliverance Ministries in Richardson, Texas, and the
author of the upcoming book “Are You Ready for
Marriage?” Contact him at hiitselh@yahoo.com, or (972)

17. ==> Sept. is Suicide Prevention Month – How to Keep
Your Kid from Killing Himself
According to USA Today the teen suicide rate is
soaring. What can parents do to keep their kids safe?
How can they keep their worst nightmare from happening?
“Kids are really good at hiding things… they
hide their depression because they don’t want to be
‘the downer.’ They hide the signs that they are in
trouble… they don’t want you to know.” says Jennifer
Cochern, LCPC. How’s a parent supposed to know
if their kid is in trouble? Being sulky and silent,
depressed and anxious… isn’t that what the teen years
are supposed to be like? In her practice, Cochern
unravels the mystery of teen suicide – helping
kids and parents understand themselves and each other.
She will give your audience tips on what to look for
and also what THEY need to do NOW to keep their kids
safe. Jennifer Cochern, LCPC is a
counselor and the author of “Alignment: Move from
Internal Chaos to Clarity.” She has worked with
hundreds of clients promoting personal growth and
healthier relationship skills. Contact her at (208)

18. ==> Your Child’s Dreams Are Ruined
Your children are back in school, so what happens when
the things they want to be when they grow up aren’t
such good choices anymore? The girls who want to play
sports and go into media may get harassed
or assaulted in the workplace. As much as parents hate
to think of a future like this, it seems we are living
in a generation struggling for justice. We teach our
children to speak up when things are
wrong, but in Serena Williams case, her voice caused
her a penalty and an uproar within the media. A woman
accusing Judge Brett Kavanaugh of assault dating back
to when they were in high school is
finally speaking up but will anyone listen? As much as
we think schools and workplaces are safe now, not much
has changed. So what do we do? Nita Wiggins can speak
on discrimination and harassment in
schools and in the workplaces. Contact her to hear more
about the solutions she found, while living in the U.S.
and now Paris, France. Her contact is
nitadallas@yahoo.com.

20. ==> Laugh Your Way to Success
While growing up in a poor farm family in rural South
Carolina, life was far from amusing for Jane Jenkins
Herlong. Her high school dropout tenant farmer dad
struggled to make ends meet; she was
relentlessly teased for being homely; she was rejected
by numerous colleges; and told that she’d never amount
to anything. She also endured mental and verbal abuse,
and loved ones with addiction and
mental illness. But she managed to become a Miss
America contestant, a best-selling author, popular
humorist, gifted singer and sought after speaker who
was inducted into the Speaker Hall of Fame. She
credits her humor for her success. “I literally laughed
my way to ‘mental wealth!’” She can reveal how anyone
can use humor to overcome life’s darkest moments. Jane
is the award-winning author of four
books including her latest “Rhinestones on My Flip-
Flops.” She has also recorded music CDs and personal
growth and comedy DVDs. As a humorist, her comedy is
featured on Sirius XM 97. Contact her at
