1. ==> The Fourth Estate in the Age of Trump

For many the unthinkable has happened; Donald Trump was
inaugurated the 45th President of the United
States—with a unified government under GOP control. The
‘Free Press’ is now the only check on the unbridled
power of the Trump Administration. Invite Michael
McCray, a public interest advocate and expert on
whistleblowing, to discuss the importance of
journalism, whistleblowers and the role of the First
Amendment. McCray was personally bullied, intimidated
and retaliated against after he reported improprieties
at his federal job before being forced out. He says
America needs principled individuals now more than
ever. Contact him at (870) 543-0024;
mccray.michael@gmail.com.

2. ==> Valentine’s Day Dos and Don’ts for Dummies

The day of the heart is upon us. Our finest emotion,
love, gets a national celebration. Sounds great, but we
all know love is tricky. Invite Dr. Frank Farley to
discuss the dos and don’ts of observing the holiday.
“First of all, realize there is no all-purpose formula
for love, no matter what the day. We’re all different,
so go with what works for you and your partner. If
you’re extroverts, it’s party time; if you’re
introverts, a quiet, private dinner might be more
appropriate.” Farley says no matter what, put the cell
phone away and pay attention to your partner. He adds,
“And keep the criticism at bay and bite your tongue. As
the saying goes, if you can’t say anything nice….”
Frank Farley, Ph.D., is a former president of the
American Psychological Association. He is a professor
at Temple University. Contact him at (215) 668-7581
(cell); Frank.farley@comcast.net

3. ==> Love Sick? It’s Real

Valentine’s Day can be nerve-wracking for the best of
us, but some folks get so worked up they literally make
themselves sick. Dr. Don MacDonald says people-pleasers
in particular have a hard time. “People pleasers devote
most of their time to avoiding conflict, going along
with other people and placing their own needs last. And
when it comes to Valentine’s Day, those tendencies can
literally make them sick!” He’ll explain how
lovesickness leads to stress, headaches, insomnia,
resentment and even frequent colds and flus. Dr. Don
MacDonald The author of “The Underdog Curse: The Cause,
The Cure, Your Road to Success” will discuss how to
avoid being a Valentine’s Day underdog, how worry and
resentment can sabotage your immune system, and how to
figure out the best way for you and your lover to
celebrate Valentine’s Day. Dr. Don has spent 17 years
in the health and wellness industry as a chiropractor.
He’s also a life coach and motivational speaker and has
appeared on TV and radio across the country. Contact
him at (780) 983-5102; drdon@shaw.ca

4. ==> What She Really Wants: Intimacy

Yes, chocolates are great, and so is jewelry, but the
real thing women crave is intimacy. Unfortunately, many
men are so afraid of intimacy they sabotage their own
happiness by subconsciously pushing their partner away.
Invite Tom Gagliano to share ways to enhance intimacy
and enjoy the closeness it creates in a relationship.
He suggests, “Help your partner in those areas in their
life where they don’t expect help. The key is to do it
without expecting anything in return. Although, it will
very likely help you get lucky in the bedroom.” Tom
Gagliano returned to school to receive an MSW at age
51. He’s a life coach and the author of several books
including his latest, “Don’t Put Your Crap in Your
Kid’s Diaper.” Contact him at (732) 266-4952 (NJ);

5. ==> Make it a Juicy Valentine’s Day

Most couples want to argue less and love more. Yet most
people don’t know how to transform the common
challenges to keep their relationship fresh and the
romance warm to last a lifetime. Experience an
entertaining, inspiring conversation about love with
certified relationship coach Cary Valentine (yes,
that’s his real name). He’ll share the three essential
keys to living the relationship of your dreams, the
most important thing you must know to have a passionate
long term relationship and the secret to not wasting
precious time dating the wrong person. Valentine is the
co-author with his late wife Wendy, of “In Love
Forever: 7 Secrets to a Joyous, Juicy Relationship.”
Contact him at (808) 346-6652; Cary@InLoveForever.tv

6. ==> Unconditional Love = No Judging

Everyone wants to be loved for who they are but most of
us need help when it comes to loving and being loved
unconditionally. Relationship expert Kindi Gill
explains how the judgments we make (my wife spends too
much money, my husband never helps with the chores),
even those we don’t express out loud, hurt our ability
to love unconditionally, and what we can do to silence
our inner critics. She’ll share a quick No-Yes
technique to transform the harmful judgments we make,
and reinforce the one’s that serve our relationships,
take the pressure off the desire to experience a
perfect Valentine’s Day, outline the silver lining in
relationship struggles and offer tips for making every
day feel like Valentine’s Day. Gill is a family
transformation coach, professional speaker and author
of the upcoming book “How to Have a Loving, Peaceful
and Happy Family Life: The Five Secrets to Feeling
Whole.” Reach her at (778) 558-5110;
kindi@kindigill.com
7. ==> Former Vogue Editor on Life and Make-Believe

Joan Juliet Buck was the first—and only—American woman
to fill the coveted position of Editor-in-Chief of
Paris Vogue, and she quickly became a force in the cult
of fashion and beauty. Buck, the only child of film
producer Jules Buck, was born into a world of make-
believe. Her childhood was a whirlwind of famous
faces: John Huston, Peter O’Toole, Lauren Bacall,
Federico Fellini, Angelica Huston, and many more; ever-
changing home addresses: London, Paris, Cannes, Los
Angeles. In her new memoir, “The Price of Illusion,”
she says the cues she gleaned early in life from her
family were about how things looked and where they came
from. When her fantasy life at Vogue came to an end,
she had to find out who she was after all those years
of make-believe. Invite Buck to discuss the journey of
discovering the difference between glitter and gold,
fantasy and reality, and what merely looks like
happiness from the thing itself. Contact Johanna Ramos-
Boyer at (703) 646-5137; johanna@jrbcomm.com

8. ==> Not Again! Flu Cases Rising

It’s that time of year again. Schools are back in
session, everyone’s stuck inside and flu outbreaks are
rampant. Flu activity is “high” to “extremely high” in
15 regions of the U.S. This year’s outbreak is
predominantly type A flu. Learn healthy strategies that
can prevent most colds and flu, and minimize symptoms.
What single intervention reduced type A flu 50% in
children? (it wasn’t the vaccine!) His office approach
has been so successful he no longer utilizes flu
vaccine. Jim Roach, MD, is a leading integrative
practitioner who has appeared on numerous radio and TV
programs, is a speaker, consultant, educator,
researcher, and widely sought clinician with patients
from across the country. He is also author of “God’s
House Calls” which discusses spiritual near-death
experiences of his patients and seeks to de-stigmatize
spiritual experiences. Contact Dr. Roach at (859)
846-4453 (office); jproach@aol.com

9. ==> Could You Pass a Black History Quiz?

How much do your listeners know about the
accomplishments of African Americans? Put them to the
test for Black History Month with the help of author
Tami Gilbert. Everyone is sure to learn something in
this inspiring show. For example, can you name
America’s first black billionaire (hint he was the
first black man to head an NYSE-listed company)? Who
was the first black playwright with a play on Broadway?
What was the name of America’s first black secretary of
state? What was Malcolm X’s real name? How old was
Martin Luther King Jr. when he entered college? Gilbert
is drawn to people who have persevered to achieve great
things as she has done. She was abandoned by her father
at age eight and lived for a time in a relative’s dank
basement. Despite her disadvantages, Gilbert worked
three jobs at the same time to put herself through
college, earning a master’s degree in nursing and an
MBA. Her book is “Courage to Persevere: A Compelling
Story of Struggle, Survival and Triumph.” Contact her
at (312) 218-1744; info@tamigilbert.com
10. ==> After the March: Get Gutsy, Get Going

Millions of women (and men) around the world took to
the streets last month in solidarity with the
Washington D.C. Women’s March, but what happens now?
Pat Obuchowski says women need to get gutsy and get
going! “The world needs more women stepping into their
power and using their voice to become leaders in their
own right.” Pat will discuss the barriers many women
face when it comes to empowerment and share ways to
work around “life” and find the guts to get going! Pat
Obuchowski, MBA, PCC, CPCC, is an executive coach who
combines her experience as an IT executive with
graduate degrees in business and neuroscience. Her new
book is “Gutsy Women Win: How to Get Gutsy and Get
Going.” Contact her at Pat@GutsyWomenWin.com

11. ==> ‘Trumpertension’ – It’s a Yuge Thing

It’s no secret that the majority of people who didn’t
vote for Donald Trump are having trouble accepting his
administration. In fact, many Americans are seeking
medical help for the anxiety they’re experiencing due
to the change of occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Palm Springs-based internal medicine physician Kiran
Dintyala (a.k.a. Dr. Calm) has seen patients with Post-
Election Stress Disorder, including some with
previously well-controlled blood pressure who are
coming in with alarmingly high numbers. He calls it
“Trumpertension” describing it as “a substantial
increase in blood pressure unrelated to diet, sodium
intake or exercise that is solely attributable to
worries over what a Trump presidency may mean for your
future and America’s.” In response, he’s written “Seven
Keys to Surviving the Trump Presidency,” sharing tips
to stay calm amidst the seemingly endless flow of
unsettling news and ways to remain positive and
hopeful, no matter who’s in the Oval Office. Kiran
Dintyala is a Board Certified Internal Medicine
Physician currently practicing at Eisenhower Medical
Center. He’s also the author of “Calm in the Midst of
Chaos.” Contact him at (860) 375 0446;
stressfreerevolution@gmail.com

12. ==> Friends (and Parents) Don’t Let Students Get
Student Loans

Recently, a scandal involving the servicing of student
loans showed how often student loan companies fail to
forward student loan payments to the new company and
how other problems are caused to parents and students
by getting student loans. There are better, faster, and
cheaper ways to pay for college. Invite Steven Roberts,
a former scholarship judge and the author of “Winning
the Money Game in College,” to teach your audience how
to avoid student loans altogether. Best solution: Get a
plan to help you win. Steven will offer listeners a
free webinar to learn strategies to pay for college.
Contact him at (801) 830-9234;
steven.roberts.1@collegecashchampion.com

13. ==> Go Ahead, Get Away

Overstressed by everything that’s going on in America?
Overworked? Submerged in the winter blues? It’s time
for a vacation! The summer is still 5-months away, but
there’s no need to wait that long. Now is the time to
take a vacation or at least plan for one. And not just
any vacation: because time is our most valuable asset,
we need to use it wisely. Marco Aguilar explains how to
overcome the most frequent and challenging excuses for
not taking a vacation, including financial, airport
hassles and “it’s my job, stupid,” excuses; and shares
awesome ideas on where to go and what to do with your
precious time off. Marco Aguilar, aka The Chief
Vacation Officer®, uses his 25-year experience in the
travel industry to inspire others to claim their right
to time off and live the life-transforming potential of
travel and experiential vacations. His upcoming book is
“The Power of Vacation.” Contact him at (310) 739-4044;

14. ==> The Greatest Escape of the Cold War

When 84-year-old Hungarian born American Frank Iszak
was 25, he and a group of others committed the first
hijacking of an airplane, flying it to West Germany and
freedom. On July 13, 1956, he gained international
attention for his bold escape from communist-controlled
Hungary. With six co-conspirators, Iszak seized an
airliner and set a course for the West. Invite him to
share his incredible story (including a life-or-death
brawl aboard an out-of-control airplane.) While a
Hungarian court condemned the hijackers to death, in
absentia, the entire team settled in the United States.
Iszak worked as a chemist New York and San Francisco.
He now runs a yoga studio in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca and is
negotiating film rights to his book, “Freedom Fighter.”

15. ==> The Dreams Behind Hit Songs

Overnight ‘dream downloads’ have played a key role in
the rise to stardom of Sting, Beyoncé, the Beatles,
Billy Joel, Taylor Swift and many, many more successful
music artists. In fact, Craig Webb says over 20 Grammy
wins can be linked directly to dreams. Invite Craig on
your show and hear how Bono dreamt music that led to
collaborations with Roy Orbison and Bob Dylan
(including Roy Orbison spontaneously arriving at his
door the night after he dreamt music for him), to how
numerous artists received dream help from deceased
family and colleagues including Stevie Wonder whose
just-deceased mother came in a dream to urge him not to
take a year off to grieve her death, as he had informed
his business manager and agent. Webb will reveal the
surprising dreams that have shaped our culture from
iTunes’ most-downloaded song, to life-saving
nightmares, to beloved Christmas carols, as well as how
anyone can benefit from the same powerful process. Webb
has made more than 1,000 media appearances, and
consults for Fortune 500 corporations, A-list
celebrities and feature films. His latest book is “The
Dreams Behind the Music.” Contact him at (514)

1. ==> Were Bud Ads Too Political?

Anheuser-Busch’s Super Bowl ad as gotten a lot of buzz
this year. The spot commemorates the immigrant journey
of its founder. Using evocative imagery, it depicts the
perseverance and triumph of the mid-1800’s German
immigrant who was bullied by xenophobes exhorting him
to “go back home.” But is it timely or opportunistic?
Idealistic or controversial? Multicultural advocacy and
marketing expert Rudy Ruiz calls the ad bold and
authentic, especially in today’s political climate.
“The winner in this ad campaign is clear from the get-
go: beer, and yes, immigrants. It’s a classic strategy
to coopt an audience’s values and align them with your
own profit motives.” And what should marketers do in
this era of Trump, nationalism and anti-immigrant
fervor? Ruiz says, “They can definitely take a cue from
Anheuser-Busch in highlighting the All-American nature
of the immigrant experience. But they should go deeper
and further. They must take a clear stand rather than
paint in strokes so broad they can claim to be
apolitical.” Rudy Ruiz is an author and the CEO of
Interlex Communications, a multicultural advocacy
marketing agency. Contact Nelda Carrizales at (210)
416-0418; nelda@interlexusa.com.

2. ==> CNN Religion Expert – Trump is All Wrong on
Muslims

It’s been nearly a week since a self-described fan of
Donald Trump walked into a mosque in Quebec City and
opened fire, killing six worshipers. CNN’s religion
expert Reza Aslan notes that the White House has been
virtually silent on the massacre, and seems to be using
it to advance a deeply suspicious view of Islam.
According to law enforcement officials, radicalized
Muslims aren’t our biggest security risk, anti-
government violent extremists are. So why target
Muslims? Aslan says, “Trump is playing to an
influential part of his constituency. He didn’t become
the white nationalist candidate because his positions
reflected their ideology. He became their candidate
because, he amplified their message. As one member of
the Ku Klux Klan told the magazine Mother Jones, ‘the
success of the Trump campaign just proves that our
views resonate with millions.’” Reza Aslan is a writer,
commentator, professor, producer, and scholar of
religions. He’s a producer on the HBO series The
Leftovers, and the host and executive producer of CNN’s
upcoming documentary series, Believer. His books
include “Zealot: The Life and Times of Jesus of
Nazareth.” Contact Catherine Olim at

3. ==> Trump Calls for Major Escalation in Syria

President Donald Trump has reportedly thrown out the
existing plans drawn up under his predecessor Barack
Obama on how to oust Isis from their de facto capital
in Syria. The report was too “incremental and risk-
averse,” the new administration allegedly found.
Journalist and author Reese Erlich says, “The new
administration has asked the Defense Department to
consider sending artillery and attack helicopters to
fight in Syria. Supposedly aimed at fighting ISIS, in
fact, such moves would seriously escalate the number of
U.S. combat troops and increase the likelihood of
conflict with Russia and Iran. While Trump proclaims a
friendship with Vladimir Putin, escalating the number
of U.S. troops in Syria will put him in direct conflict
with Russia and Iran. Erlich is a Peabody award-winning
foreign correspondent and the author of “Inside Syria:
The Backstory of Their Civil War and What the World Can
Expect.” Contact him at ReeseErlich2@hotmail.com

4. ==> ObamaCare vs. TrumpCare

President Barack Obama tried to unify the country’s
health care under one roof, yet by many accounts, he
failed to properly organize and successfully
orchestrate the Affordable Health Care plan. Invite
senior health advisor Janet Rich Pittman to discuss
what we can expect under President Trump. With a
billionaire business owner/entrepreneur now tackling
our nation’s health problems, what changes are in the
wind? How will Trump’s proposed changes affect not only
the health of Medicare beneficiaries and health for
seniors but health for all Americans?” Pittman will
talk about the benefits seniors gained through the ACA
(Obama Care), and discuss some of the Trump
Administration’s proposed plans and what the changes
would mean for seniors. A past political marketer and
activist, Janet is now known as The Brain Nerd,
specifically a Dementia Prevention Specialist. She’s
author of the soon-to-be released “It’s There: 5 Simple
Ways to Find Your Memory and Prevent It from Leaving.”

5. ==> Sexologist: Valentine’s Day Performance Anxiety

Valentine’s Day brings up thoughts of romance… and
performance anxiety! How do I please her? What would be
most romantic? What will make her happy? Performance
anxiety happens in bed too, and for women just as much
as men. Give your audience a helping hand and invite
clinical sexologist and relationship coach Dr., Claudia
Six to help your listeners—male and female—not only
navigate this tricky holiday, but come out as a true
romantic hero. She’ll explain what to do if you can’t
read your partner’s mind, and how to guarantee you’ll
make your partner happy. Listeners can also call in
with questions and share stories. Dr. Claudia Six has
an M.A. in counseling psychology and a PhD in clinical
sexology. Her book is “Erotic Integrity: How to be
True to Yourself Sexually.” Contact her at (415)

6. ==> Poopsie, Schmoopie: What Do You Call Your Lover?

Prepare for a fascinating and funny show on what people
from other cultures call their lovers. With Susanna
Janssen as your guest, you’ll discover a whole new
world of pet names beyond sweetheart, baby or love,
words that just might get your partner in a romantic
mood should you whisper them in his or her ear—or give
them a good laugh. Janssen, a retired college professor
and language expert, will also share the quirkiest
names she has discovered such as the Tibetan nyingdu-la
(most honored poison of my heart), Italian polpetto
(meatball) and French ma puce (my flea). In addition,
she can discuss unusual romantic customs from other
cultures. For example, the now-outlawed incendiary
custom French women used to indulge in and how Korean
women seduce their men with flowers and candy. Janssen

She’s living proof that love is out there no matter how
old you are as long as you refuse to give up. Sue can
also share her own story of a life transformed after
she was struck by lightning, held up by gunpoint and
survived cancer. She’ll convince listeners that their
best lives are yet to come, no matter how old they are
or what challenges they currently face. Reach this

Overstressed by everything that’s going on in America?
Overworked? Submerged in the winter blues? It’s time
for a vacation! The summer is still 5-months away, but
there’s no need to wait that long. Now is the time to

9. ==> Is Bad Parenting to Blame for Protests?

Since November 8th, millions of Americans have
participated in protests and marches in nearly every
major city in opposition to Donald Trump’s election —
or to counter-protest in defense of it. Parenting
expert Emily Slingluff isn’t surprised. Invite her to
discuss the real reason so many people feel confused,
insecure and unhappy and how that leads to lashing out
and blaming others. Slingluff says parents have more
influence than anyone in raising a kinder, happier
generation. She’ll discuss clear and easy ways to help
kids be happy with life. She says, “The formative years
of life are called formative for a reason. And the
main influence in those first years is the parent.”
Emily Slingluff is the author of several parenting
books including “Peace” and “Parenting without
Punishment.” Contact her at (757) 428-6167;

10. ==> Presidents’ Day – Obama’s Legacy and Yours

Now that President Obama has left the White House,
numerous articles have been written speculating on what
his legacy will be. While it is too soon to know how
history will judge Obama’s eight years in office or
what he will do in the coming years, millions of
Americans are watching his transition to ordinary
citizen with great interest. As President’s Day
approaches, Obama’s story is sparking discussions about
what it means to make a difference and leave a legacy.
So says Robb Lucy, known as The Legacy Coach, the
author of the new book, “How Will You Be Remembered? A
Guide to Creating and Enjoying Your Legacies Now.” Lucy
learned throughout his career that “the happiest, most
fulfilled people are those who use their ‘signature
strengths’ to create legacies that connect them to
others, positively affect lives now… and will
continue to do that when they’re gone.” He’ll discuss
what it means to live your legacy and why you don’t
have to be famous to leave a legacy. An experienced
storyteller, Robb Lucy is a retired journalist, writer,
and producer. Contact him at (604) 874-7700;

11. ==> Black History Month: Will the World Ever Be
Color Blind?

The issue of skin color has plagued society for
centuries. Nowadays, it is undeniable that the same
issue persists. Invite Lupita Samuels to break the
barriers between skin colors and explain how to move
forward from this negative mind-set. Samuels will put
into perspective the misconceptions about skin color.
Using metaphors and comparison, Samuels will explain
how skin color does not dictate a person’s worth.
She’ll include several reflective exercises to help
guide listeners toward a peaceful resolution of their
issues and struggles on the matter. Lupita Samuels was
born in Costa Rica. She worked as an educator in the
New York City public school system for over twenty
years. She’s the author of the Color Blind book series

1. ==> Imam on Trump’s Refugee Ban

Imam Abdul Malik Mujahid is the president of Sound
Vision Foundation, a non-profit Islamic broadcast
ministry serving Muslims. He says, “President Donald
Trump’s order banning most refugees unfairly singles
out Muslims. I wonder how many Anne Franks will be
denied entry into the U.S. because of the exclusion of
Muslims. It reminds me of 1939, when the United States
turned away hundreds of Jews who came here seeking
shelter on the ship the MM St. Louis. That refusal led
to the deaths of 254 people by the Nazis, (with) nearly
a third of the passengers sent back to Europe.” He
adds, “Everyone entering the U.S. must be equally
scrutinized by law enforcement.” Sound Vision
Foundation is a non-profit Islamic broadcast ministry
that addresses topics involving Islamic living in a
contemporary world. Contact Gregg Cockrell at
greggcockrell@yahoo.com

2. ==> Iraqi-American on Trump Immigration Ban

Weam Namou was born in Baghdad as a minority Christian
in a Muslim country. Her family endured Saddam’s
totalitarian regime until they fled to the United
States when she was a child. Once in America, Weam was
again a minority who had difficulty fitting in and
finding her voice. Invite her to discuss her take on
the Trump immigration ban. She says the ban doesn’t
even target the correct threats to U.S. citizens. “If
the government banned the right terrorist countries,
that would be very beneficial for us and the world at
large. But between 1975 and 2015, foreign nationals
from Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria & Yemen
killed zero Americans on U.S. soil. Yet Saudis killed
2,369 Americans on U.S. soil. The countries who have
bred and financed terrorism are not on this list!” Weam
also believes the ban is fueling extremists, making it
easier for them to recruit people. Weam Namou has been
a guest on dozens of radio talk shows. She’s the author
of “The Great American Family: A Story of Political
Disenchantment.” Contact her at (586) 212-4490;

3. ==> How to Tell Fake News from Real News

Social media and blogging has given the masses the
ability to create and write the news, and fake news is
fast becoming a very real and alarming trend. Nearly
half of all Americans (47%) get their news from
Facebook and often see fictional political stories,
it’s vital that we learn to distinguish fact from
fiction. Communication expert Leslie Shore will offer 4
tips for determining whether what you are reading is
true or false. Among other things, she says you should
look for a reputable source of a story and make sure
there’s an actual author of the piece. Shore says there
are also key words to watch for that indicate a story
is opinion rather than fact. Leslie Shore is a national
speaker, communication expert, professor, and author.
She’s also the owner of Listen to Succeed, a
consultancy that focuses on listening analytics.

4. ==> Will Trump Erase LGBT Progress?

Will progress made over the past eight years in the
LGBT community in marriage equality and protection
against discrimination be rolled back during the Trump
administration? Talk about the issues with Seth
Rainess, who can discuss such breaking developments as
the erasure of LGBT content from Federal websites,
Trump’s opposition to marriage equality, his cabinet
choices’ anti-gay beliefs, the effect of potential
Supreme Court appointments and the fate of laws
allowing transgender people to use bathrooms of the
gender with which they identify. Rainess is a
transgender male and the author of the first book for
transgender teens, “Real Talk for Teens: Jump Start
Guide to Gender Transition and Beyond.” His mission is
to alleviate the fears and misconceptions people have
about transgender people. He’s been featured in Time
and numerous media outlets. Contact him at (732)
620-4300 (cell); (732) 291-6090 (landline) or
sjrainess@yahoo.com

5. ==> Are Billionaires Bunkering Down for Doomsday?

When the apocalypse hits, tech billionaires plan to
stay put. Alarming enough, a rather strange hobby that
has grown increasingly popular amongst Silicon Valley
elites is Doomsday preparation. Reddit CEO and co-
founder Steve Huffman is one of many wealthy folks
who’ve begun to invest in private bunkers. Invite
disaster preparedness expert Joe Alton, M.D., to
discuss what skills will be needed should the decline
of civilization come to pass and who among us would
survive. Dr. Alton says, “A lot of us can troubleshoot
our computer, but how many can construct a stretcher
from scratch? Our reliance on technology has stripped
us of even the most basic skills that came as second
nature to our ancestors.” Dr. Alton will tell your
audience what medical knowledge and supplies are most
helpful in a disaster situation and why everyone should
have an emergency plan in place for any number of
reasons. Dr. Joe Alton is the author of “The Survival
Medicine Handbook.” Dr. Alton is a well-known speaker
and host of The Doom and Bloom Survival Medicine Hour
syndicated podcast. Contact Ryan McCormick at (516)
901-1103; (919) 377-1200 or ryan@goldmanmccormick.com

6. ==> National Geographic ‘Lawless Oceans’
Investigator

In 2014, cell-phone footage was posted on YouTube from
a mysterious address in Fiji, showing an unthinkable
crime – four gruesome murders at sea. In National
Geographic’s new TV show “Lawless Oceans,”
internationally-renowned special investigator Karsten
von Hoesslin goes on a worldwide trail to piece
together the truth behind the mysterious murders.
Invite him to talk about the new show and how the
world’s waters have become a Wild West, where criminals
can operate with impunity largely beyond the reach of
law enforcement. Hoesslin has investigated a range of
crimes on the high seas, including piracy, illegal
fishing, drug smuggling, arms trafficking and
terrorism. His casework involves infiltrating criminal
networks engaged in maritime crimes in South America,
East and West Africa and Southeast Asia. Contact
Johanna Ramos-Boyer at (703) 646-5137;

7. ==> Amazing Space Stories You’ve Never Heard

Rod Pyle is a wealth of NASA knowledge and a fun guest
to talk about everything space-related. Invite him on
your show to discuss current space topics like SpaceX’s
recently announced Big Mars Plans (huge 100 passenger
Mars ships for 2025) or old, little-known topics like
plans from the 1960s that involved atomic spaceships
(yes, powered by atomic bomb explosions!) Rod Pyle has
written several books and produced numerous
documentaries for the History Channel and Discovery
Communications, including the acclaimed Modern Marvels:
Apollo 11. He has lectured at NASA’s Johnson Space
Center, and written for the Jet Propulsion Laboratory,
Caltech, LiveScience, and Space.com. His new book,
“Amazing Stories of the Space Age,” shares zany never-
flown ideas for space missions from the 1940s through
the end of the 20th century. Contact him at (626)
399-4440; rodpyle@yahoo.com

8. ==> ObamaCare: What Can Seniors Expect?

How will the Medicare benefits given to seniors under
the Affordable Care Act (ACA) be changed under the
Trump Administration? Trump has told the American
public ObamaCare is a disaster and that it doesn’t work
and vows to ‘repeal and replace’. How could Obama Care
changes affect healthcare for seniors? How can seniors
be ready and prepared? Senior health adviser Janet Rich
Pittman will explain the benefits seniors gained
through the ACA, discuss some of the Trump
Administration proposed plans for change and what that
could mean for seniors. She’ll also discuss how
everyone can ensure good health tiptoeing into and
through their senior years. As a past political
marketer, activist and former chairman of her county
Republican Executive Committee, Janet is a dementia
prevention specialist known as ‘The Brain Nerd.’ She is
also the author of the upcoming book “It’s There: 5
Simple Ways to Find Your Memory and Prevent It From
Leaving.” Contact her (251) 648.0325; Janet

9. ==> Tax Talk: What’s Considered Income?

Tax season is fast approaching! Lisa London CPA, can
help your listeners streamline their current files and
understand everything from deductions to what is
considered income. She says, “With the influx of people
in the sharing economy, like Uber drivers, Airbnb
hosts, and EBay and Amazon sellers, more and more
people need to understand what is considered income and
what are allowable expenses.” Invite her to tell your
audience how to use their cell phones to simplify
bookkeeping and share record-keeping tips and tricks to
help small and at-home businesses. Lisa London has been
featured on numerous TV and radio shows. She is the

in full force, looking for scams and tax cheats. Of
course, that’s not you, (or your listeners), but what
will the IRS be looking for this year? Join tax pro

11. ==> Rescue Those Resolutions!

You vowed that 2017 was going to be different. The New
Year held such promise! You’d tweak your diet, hit the
gym, and finally make time for yourself, family and
friends. But then you realize it’s February and nothing
has changed. Do you give up or tell yourself you’ve
just been too busy and you’ll get to it later? “Neither
is a helpful choice if you are serious about wanting
those new results,” says Joan Posivy, Instead, Joan
will inspire your listeners to recharge, refocus and be
excited about their goal achievement in 2017. She’ll

dreaming to really doing. “Anyone can live the life of
their dreams,” says Joan “they just need to be shown
how.” Joan Posivy is a speaker and the author of “The

12. ==> The Cure for the Chronic Disease Epidemic

In the United States, we have arguably the best, most
technologically advanced health-care system in the
world. Yet the incidence of chronic disease continues
to rise in epidemic proportions—obesity, heart disease,
diabetes, autoimmune disease, cancer, and dementia.
Stacey Robinson, M.D., a leading expert in Functional
Medicine, says we can reverse the disease process by
addressing the root cause of disease instead of masking
symptoms. She’ll share the most impactful, proven
change you should make to your diet and discuss why
American health care is headed in the wrong direction
and how we can turn it around. A seasoned media guest,
Stacey is Board certified in Family Medicine and
Integrative Medicine, and served as an officer in the
United States Air Force. She is the author of “Road Map
to Health: 7 Steps to Alter Your Destination.” Contact
her at (727) 329-8859; health@robinsonmed.com

13. ==> Attract the Love of Your Life for V-Day

Many people facing the prospect of another Valentine’s
Day alone could use the advice of Sue Pighini, author
of “Expect the Extraordinary,” who has led a remarkable
romantic life and life in general. Sue, who found her
soul mate when she was over 60 and widowed, can talk
about using deep intuition to guide you to the right
person, and even how to get angelic help from the
internet and friends. Sue will share the signs angels
send when you ask them to help you find a partner.
Reach this
experienced talk show guest at (941) 685-7159;

14. ==> How to Date Your Mate

Love should be in the air 365 days a year but let’s
face it, there are bills to pay, children to raise and
work to be done. So how do you keep the spark alive
after a dozen or more years and several kids? Tina
Albrecht says the key to staying in love with your
spouse or falling in love with them again has less to
do with sex appeal or creativity than time management!
She’ll share inexpensive suggestions for ‘dating’ your
mate including simple tips like watching a TV show
together without interruption and scheduling an hour
alone each week to talk about schedules, school updates
and other family business. She adds, “Write every day
about what you’re grateful for about your spouse and
positive experiences you’ve had together. Gratitude is
magic for any marriage.” Tina Albrecht is the author of
FHEasy: A Year of Weekly Teachings and Devotionals,
published by Cedar Fort Publishing. FHEasy refers to
family home evening, a religious home teaching/bonding
concept practiced by LDS families like Albrecht’s.

Don’t know the difference between brisket and a
sirloin? What size chicken do you need to feed a family
of four? Shopping for meat can be confusing. The cuts,
how to cook them, and how to tell when it’s done;
there’s a lot to figure out and you’re in the middle of
the grocery store! Well, there’s now an app that can
help. The North American Meat Institute (NAMI) has
launched MyMeatUp, an app with a full guide to beef,
pork, lamb and veal cuts. NAMI President and CEO Barry

for younger shoppers just starting to navigate the
grocery store on their own for themselves and their
families, to answer any questions they have about the
meat in the case.” From shopping to cooking and safety,
the app is full of pictures and information that will

1. ==> Is Trump Right on NATO??

President Donald Trump continues to attack the NATO
alliance, calling it obsolete because NATO wasn’t set
up to respond to terrorist threats, while reminding the
world that the allies free-ride off U.S. military
efforts by not bearing their fair share of the burden.
“Embarrassingly, Trump is right on both counts,” says
Ivan Eland. “The Cold War-era alliance needs to be
scrapped or at the very least reformed.” He says the
United States alone accounts for about 75 percent of
the military spending of the 28-country alliance. He’ll
discuss NATO as well as how military spending could be
significantly cut without sacrificing national
security. Ivan Eland is a senior fellow and the
director of the Center on Peace and Liberty at the
Independent Institute. He recently wrote the piece NATO
is Obsolete for US News and World Report. Eland is also
the author of several books including “Recarving
Rushmore: Ranking the Presidents on Peace, Prosperity,
and Liberty.” Contact him at (703) 282-3484 (cell);

2. ==> Trump’s New Authoritarian Government

We knew he was a narcissist who has thin skin and loves
to lash out at those who disagree. Now that he’s
president, Ruth Ben-Ghiat says Trump’s following ‘the
authoritarian playbook.’ “Strongmen show aggression to
the press as part of a slow-drip strategy of
discrediting all information that is not dispensed by
their close allies. Strongmen also target the
judiciary, since it stands in the way of their
“reforms” that often veer into extra-legality. Those
with a history of legal troubles can be particularly
focused on this sector.” She adds, “Authoritarians love
to think they are making history, and never hesitate to
rewrite the past to suit their political agendas.
Trump’s use of racism as a campaign tool laid the
foundations for what will be a concerted effort to
delegitimize the history of civil rights struggles in
our country.” Ruth Ben-Ghiat is professor of history
and Italian studies at New York University and a
cultural critic. She writes and speaks frequently on
fascism, war, racism, authoritarian rulers, propaganda,
and the politics of images and her essay on Trump and
Mussolini recently ran in the Atlantic. Contact her at

3. ==> Alternative Facts? How to Tell Fake News from
Real News

The advent of social media and blogging has given the
masses the ability to create and write the news, and
fake news is fast becoming a very real and alarming
trend. With nearly half of all Americans (47%) getting
their news from Facebook often see fictional political
stories, it’s vital that we learn to distinguish fact
from fiction. Communication expert Leslie Shore will
offer 4 tips for determining whether what you are
reading is true or false. Among other things, she says
you should look for a reputable source of a story and

says there are also key words to watch for that

4. ==> Pence Assembling Dream Team of Christian Right

While Donald Trump has been making news with his gaffes
and tweets, Mike Pence has been quietly assembling a
dream team of Christian Right figures for senior
administration posts. Frederick Clarkson says he’s
doing exactly what he was expected to do as head of the
presidential transition team. “Donald Trump, via his
son Donald Jr., reportedly called an aide to his first
choice for veep, Governor John Kasich of Ohio, and told
him that a president Trump would put Kasich in charge
of both foreign and domestic policy, while the
president himself would be in charge of ‘making America
great again.’ Pence hasn’t said whether he got the same
deal, but his role as chair of the transition team
suggests that he is already among the most powerful
vice presidents in American history.” Clarkson says,
“The Christian Right is now not only one of the most
powerful political movements in the country, but a
leading force in the federal government as well.”
Clarkson is Senior Fellow for Religious Liberty at
Political Research Associates, a progressive think tank
in Somerville, MA. He is the author of the report, When
Exemption is the Rule: The Religious Freedom Strategy
of the Christian Right. Contact him at

6. ==> Another Reason Lying Matters – Kids

A lie is a lie, but even adults who’ve heard their fair
share of political rhetoric and spin are finding it
hard distinguish between the lies and truths in
Washington today. So how do you talk to kids about the
importance of truth when the new president doesn’t seem
all that interested? Leeza Steindorf, an expert in
parenting and communication, says “Society as a whole
permits—even encourages—lies, white lies, bending the
truth, calling things alternative facts. But
children—and quite frankly quite a few adults—need to
understand the value in telling the truth: Being
truthful is key to being authentic and genuine, which
is congruence inside and out.” She’ll discuss how to
talk about today’s issues with kids from young ones to
teens, and help them make sense of what’s going on in
the world around us. Leeza Steindorf is a
communications and conflict resolution expert,
international consultant and speaker. She’s the author
of “Connected Parent, Empowered Child: Five Keys to
Raising Happy, Confident, Responsible Kids” and “CORE
Success for Schools: The Practical Guide Book for a
Positive School Climate.” Contact her at (541) 550-

7. ==> After the March: Get Gutsy, Get Going

Millions of men and women around the world took to the
streets last weekend in solidarity with the Washington
D.C. Women’s March, but what happens now? Pat
Obuchowski says women should get gutsy and get going!
“The world needs more women stepping into their power
and using their voice to become leaders in their own
right.” Pat will discuss the barriers many women face
when it comes to empowerment and share ways to work
around “life” and find the guts to get going!

8. ==> Expect More Protests

One of the interesting characteristics about last
weekend’s women’s marches was the number of first-time
protestors. What has changed that is drawing people off
the couch and into the streets? Carol Richardson says,
“When the majority popular vote does not elect a
president, and the president has expressed hate towards
large portions of the US population, protesters are
speaking up and will continue to speak up to express
what is needed in a healthy democracy. America has
become an oligarchy which has exercised a too-often
unrecognized tyranny over American politics.”
Richardson, an Interfaith Minister, says no matter what
side of the aisle Americans choose, most of us have
experienced tyranny financially or politically, and
after this divisive election, protests against
perceived tyranny may become the norm. She adds,
“American democracy was founded on spiritual ideals,
and we will only return to a cooperative, peaceful
democracy when we restore these healthy ideals in
American life.” Rev. Carol Richardson, M.Div., MPH is
an Interfaith Intuitive Healer and Coach in the
Washington, DC area, and an expert in healthy
spirituality. She’s the author of “Mornings with the
Masters: Mystical Journeys in a Postmodern World.”

9. ==> Is ‘Trumpertension’ the New National Health
Problem?

It’s no secret that the majority of people who didn’t
vote for Donald Trump are having trouble accepting his
administration. In fact, many Americans are seeking
medical help for the anxiety they are experiencing due
to the change of occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Palm Springs-based internal medicine physician Kiran
Dintyala (a.k.a. Dr. Calm) has seen patients with Post-
Election Stress Disorder, including some with
previously well-controlled blood pressure who are
coming in with alarmingly high numbers. He calls it
“Trumpertension” describing it as “a substantial
increase in blood pressure unrelated to diet, sodium
intake or exercise that is solely attributable to
worries over what a Trump presidency may mean for your
future and America’s.” In response, he’s written “Seven
Keys to Surviving the Trump Presidency,” sharing tips
to stay calm amidst the seemingly endless flow of
unsettling news and ways to remain positive and
hopeful, no matter who’s in the Oval Office. Kiran
Dintyala is a Board Certified Internal Medicine
Physician currently practicing at Eisenhower Medical
Center. He’s also the author of “Calm in the Midst of
Chaos.” Contact him at (860) 375 0446;
stressfreerevolution@gmail.com

10. ==> Let’s Talk Dating Deal Breakers

It could be the color of her nail polish. The way she
wears her hair. Her tattoos or the sound of her voice.
Maybe it’s the limp way he shakes your hand. His bald
spot. Or his awful taste in clothing. Most of us screen
potential dates using preconceived standards (i.e. deal
breakers). Psychiatrist Christine Adams will have your
listeners thinking about how they would answer the
question, “I would never date someone who …” before
calling them out on the snap judgments they use to
foolishly eliminate potential dates. Dr. Adams will
also share why “you should run away fast” when you
experience instant sexual attraction to someone. She
can discuss the best questions to ask on first and
second dates (and how to pay attention to what your
date isn’t asking you). And will argue that in most
cases a single date is never enough to rule someone
out. Dr. Christine Adams is coauthor of “Living On
Automatic: How Emotional Conditioning Shapes Our Lives
and Relationships.” Contact her at (502) 473-0093;

11. ==> Love Sickness is Real

People-pleasers devote most of their time to avoiding
conflict, going along with other people and placing
their own needs last. And when it comes to Valentine’s
Day, people-pleasing tendencies can literally make us
lovesick, leading to stress, headaches, insomnia,
resentment and frequent colds and flus. Dr. Don
MacDonald says Valentine’s Day is one of those holidays
that can bring people-pleasers to their knees. The
author of “The Underdog Curse: The Cause, The Cure,
Your Road to Success” will discuss how to avoid being a
Valentine’s Day underdog, how worry and resentment can
sabotage your immune system, and how to figure out the
best way for you and your lover to celebrate
Valentine’s Day. Dr. Don has spent 17 years in the
health and wellness industry as a chiropractor. He’s
also a life coach and motivational speaker and has
appeared on TV and radio across the country. Contact
him at (780) 983-5102; drdon@shaw.ca

12. ==> Resolution Failed? It’s Not Your Fault

Have your New Year’s Resolutions disappeared but you
still want to be healthier? It happens even with our
best intentions. Renee Jones says, “It’s easy to
devolve into berating our ability to stick to our plan,
but that never helps. Shame tends to reinforce the
cycle because we then need more soothing. The key to
getting to your goal is returning to the track leading
where we want to go. Reset. Make a U-turn if needed.
Adjust the plan if necessary. But most important, love
yourself.” She adds, “When you find yourself staring
longingly into the refrigerator for comfort, start a
diet with good intentions but lose focus, reach your
goal and then yo-yo back up or gain even more weight,
it’s not hunger driving you. It’s time to look at
what’s really eating you.” Renee Jones is a counselor
with an international private practice serving clients
in the U. S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany,
Switzerland, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand. Her
new book is “What’s Really Eating You? Overcome the
Triggers of Comfort Eating.” Contact her at (817)

13. ==> Why Winter Is the Best Time to Find Your
Purpose

Baby, it’s cold outside, at least for most of the
country. Days are shorter and people feel like
hibernating. Meanwhile, 10 million Americans are coping
with seasonal affective disorder. But Andro Donovan
says winter’s chill offers advantages too good to miss.

14. ==> Let’s Talk Cannibals

For centuries, cannibalism has been written off as a
bizarre phenomenon with little scientific significance.
But the true nature of cannibalism—the role it plays in
evolution as well as human culture—is even more
interesting (and less disturbing) than the many
misconceptions we’ve come to accept as fact. Dr. Bill
Schutt, PhD, a researcher at the American Museum of
Natural History, will discuss why some amphibians
consume their mother’s skin; why certain insects bite
the heads off their partners; why, up until the end of
the twentieth century, Europeans regularly ate human
body parts as medical curatives; and how cannibalism
might be linked to the extinction of Neanderthals. Bill
Schutt is a professor of biology at LIU Post and a
research associate in residence at the American Museum
of Natural History. His latest book is “Cannibalism: A
Perfectly Natural History.” Contact Johanna Ramos-Boyer

15. ==> Rock, Power and Politics

A new exhibit is opens in Washington D.C. that explores
the power of rock to change attitudes about patriotism,
peace, equality and freedom. The ‘Louder Than Words:
Rock, Power and Politics’ at the Newseum features,
among other things, John Lennon’s acoustic guitar from
his 1969 Montreal and Amsterdam “Bed-Ins for Peace”
with Yoko Ono, the Fender Stratocaster Jimi Hendrix
used to perform “The Star-Spangled Banner” at
Woodstock, stage costumes worn by the Village People
and original handwritten lyrics to Bob Dylan’s “The
Times They Are a-Changin’,” Chuck Berry’s “School Day,”
Bruce Springsteen’s “Born in the U.S.A.” and Green
Day’s “American Idiot.” “This exhibit is a powerful
testament to the role music has played in influencing
political and social change,” says the Newseum’s Cathy
Trost. The exhibit was created in partnership with the

1. ==> Alternative Facts, Fake News and Journalism

Since Donald Trump upended everything we thought we
knew about politics, hands have been wrung and ink has
been spilled about the “post-factual age.” How could
the candidate with the worst Politifact rating in the
2016 campaign come out on top? How could the Trump
administration claim its new press secretary was using
“alternative facts”? Do facts still matter — and if
they don’t, will real journalism stay relevant? Neil
Urwitz of the Center for a New American Security says
we shouldn’t overreact. “Now that President Trump has
taken the oath of office and the business of governance
has begun, the impact of fake news and ‘alternative
outlets’ will be revealed as vastly overblown.
Traditional media will still control the national
conversation. Policymakers will still have to build
their days around what the mainstream media reports.”
Neil Urwitz is director of external relations for the
Center for a New American Security (CNAS), an
independent, bipartisan, nonprofit organization that
develops national security and defense policies.

2. ==> Another Reason Lying Matters – Kids

Alternative facts? Untruths? A lie is a lie, but even
adults who’ve heard their fair share of political
rhetoric and spin are finding it hard distinguish
between the lies and truths in Washington today. So how
do you talk to kids about the importance of truth when
the new president doesn’t seem all that interested?
Leeza Steindorf, an expert in parenting and
communication, says “Society as a whole permits—even
encourages—lies, white lies, bending the truth, calling
things alternative facts. But children—and quite
frankly quite a few adults—need to understand the value
in telling the truth: Being truthful is key to being
authentic and genuine, which is congruence inside and
out.” She’ll discuss how to talk about today’s issues
with kids from young ones to teens, and help them make
sense of what’s going on in the world around us. Leeza
Steindorf is a communications and conflict resolution
expert, international consultant and speaker. She’s
the author of “Connected Parent, Empowered Child: Five
Keys to Raising Happy, Confident, Responsible Kids” and

a Positive School Climate.” Contact her at (541) 550-

3. ==> After the March: Get Gutsy, Get Going

Millions of men and women around the world took to the
streets this weekend in solidarity with the Washington

4. ==> Expect Protests to Be the New Norm

One of the interesting characteristics about this
weekend’s women’s marches was the number of first-time

5. ==> Emmy-Winning Filmmaker on Nat Geo’s ‘Atlantis
Rising’

National Geographic’s new documentary Atlantis Rising
follows executive producer and Oscar-winning legend
James Cameron; three-time Emmy-winning filmmaker Simcha
Jacobovici; and a group of archeologists, scientists
and historians as they set out to search for the true
“Atlantean” civilization and for a possible location
for the mother city, the lost city of Atlantis. Invite
director/producer and television host Jacobovici to
share details of the expedition including the discovery
of six ancient anchors that could date back to the
Bronze Age and that together may be the greatest
ancient anchor hoard ever found on the Atlantic side of
the Strait of Gibraltar. Atlantis Rising premieres this
Sunday on National Geographic. Simcha Jacobovici and
team leader, professor/archaeologist Dr. Richard Freund
are available for interviews. Contact Johanna Ramos-
Boyer at (703) 646-5137; johanna@jrbcomm.com

6. ==> Don’t Get Valentine’s Day Love Sickness

7. ==> What Your Dating Deal Breakers Reveal

And will argue that in most
cases a single date is never enough to rule someone
out. Dr. Christine Adams is coauthor of “Living On
Automatic: How Emotional Conditioning Shapes Our Lives
and Relationships.” Contact her at (502) 473-0093;

Reach this

9. ==> What You Buy – Your Best Political Weapon

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you think about some
of the environmental and health challenges facing the
world today. But environmental consultant Ellen Moyer,
Ph.D., says, “Whether we like it or not, or know it or
not, our small actions repeated day after day add up to
huge impacts! Consumers inescapably weigh in on a vast
array of issues every day. We make a difference with
each bite we take.” She’ll discuss how healthy eating
is nearly impossible for many people who simply can’t
afford it because of the unfair advantage. industrial
food production enjoys over organic food production.
She’ll share easy but powerful ways to significantly
improve your health and the health of our environment,
and the best way to use your resources (money and
otherwise) wisely. Dr. Ellen Moyer is a registered
professional engineer with 30 years of environmental
consulting experience. She’s a regular contributor to
The Huffington Post and has presented more than 100
seminars in North America and Europe. Her soon-to-be-
released book is “Our Earth, Our Species, Our Selves:

10. ==> Surprising Risk Celebrity Apprentice’s Athletes
Face

Celebrity Apprentice under Arnold Schwarzenegger has a
whole new set of celebrities trying to dodge Arnold’s
“You’re terminated, hasta la vista” catchphrase. But it
has something else too: four celebrity athletes (one
already terminated) who face a lifetime health risk
that is far scarier than getting kicked off a reality
TV show. Former NFL player Ricky Williams and Eric
Dickerson, former WNBA star Lisa Leslie and former
boxer Laila Ali all run the risk of memory loss as they
age due to exposure to concussions, says Michael
Morgan, who has a worked with Ricky Williams. Morgan
can talk about sports medicine and concussions and ways
something called craniosacral therapy—his area of
expertise—can help people at risk for dementia and
memory problems. He’ll explain what the therapy is and
how it works, why NFL players are using it as well as
children with autism. Morgan is the author of “The
BodyEnergy Longevity Prescription: How CranioSacral
Therapy Helps Prevent Alzheimer’s and Dementia While
Improving the Quality of Your Life.” Reach him at (312)

11. ==> Is ‘Trumpertension’ the New National Health
Problem?

It’s no secret that the majority of people who didn’t
vote for Donald Trump are having trouble accepting his
administration. In fact, many Americans are seeking
medical help for the anxiety they are experiencing due
to the change of occupant at 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue.
Palm Springs-based internal medicine physician Kiran
Dintyala (a.k.a. Dr. Calm) has seen patients with Post-
Election Stress Disorder, including some with
previously well-controlled blood pressure who are
coming in with alarmingly high numbers. He calls it
“Trumpertension” describing it as “a substantial
increase in blood pressure unrelated to diet, sodium
intake or exercise that is solely attributable to
worries over what a Trump presidency may mean for your
future and America’s.” In response, he’s written “Seven
Keys to Surviving the Trump Presidency,” sharing tips
to stay calm amidst the seemingly endless flow of
unsettling news and ways to remain positive and
hopeful, no matter who’s in the Oval Office. Kiran
Dintyala is a Board Certified Internal Medicine
Physician currently practicing at Eisenhower Medical
Center. He’s also the author of “Calm in the Midst of
Chaos.” Contact him at (860) 375 0446;

12. ==> Resolution Failed? It’s Not Your Fault

Have your New Year’s Resolutions disappeared but you
still want to be healthier? It happens even with our
best intentions. Renee Jones says, “It’s easy to
devolve into berating our ability to stick to our plan,
but that never helps. Shame tends to reinforce the
cycle because we then need more soothing. The key to
getting to your goal is returning to the track leading
where we want to go. Reset. Make a U-turn if needed.
Adjust the plan if necessary. But most important, love
yourself.” She adds, “When you find yourself staring
longingly into the refrigerator for comfort, start a
diet with good intentions but lose focus, reach your
goal and then yo-yo back up or gain even more weight,
it’s not hunger driving you. It’s time to look at
what’s really eating you.” Renee Jones is a counselor
with an international private practice serving clients
in the U. S., United Kingdom, Canada, Germany,
Switzerland, Romania, Australia, and New Zealand. Her
new book is “What’s Really Eating You? Overcome the
Triggers of Comfort Eating.” Contact her at (817)

13. ==> How’s Your Inner-Selfie?

Social media is full of selfies taken by everyone from
the president to the pope and ordinary people. We love
them because they are fun, quick and attention-getting.
They are also superficial. Married duo Roe and Don
Polcyznski Jr. want to tell your listeners about a
deeper form of selfie they call an inner-selfie.
They’ll explain what it is (briefly, a way of looking
at your life that lets you grasp your true potential
and ultimately create your ideal future). The authors
of “Changing Your Equation” say most of us have never
taken a good look at our personalities, natural
tendencies, talents and interests and therefore don’t
know ourselves as well as we think. Reach Roe and Don

14. ==> ‘The Bake-Out’ – New Educational Cannabis Show

The Bake-Out is a new, weekly online TV talk show about
today’s controversial world of cannabis. The show
premieres later this month and features former UFC
World Champion Frank Shamrock along with celebrity
nutritionist Robert Ferguson. The pair will answer
questions, dispel stereotypes, and reveal the truth
about cannabis. Invite Frank and Robert to talk about
the show which boasts a guest lineup of professional
athletes, celebrities, law enforcement officials,
physicians, government officials, cannabis activists
and patients. Shamrock is a pioneer in the sport of
mixed martial arts (MMA). Popularly known worldwide as
the first UFC Middleweight Champion and the first
champion to retire with his belt, Shamrock went on to
apply his larger-than-life personality to broadcasting
and international color commentary for the sport of
MMA. He also runs Shamrock Way, a non-profit
organization that serves at-risk youth. Ferguson serves
on the Presidential Task Force on Obesity for the
National Medical Association and is the official
nutritionist for the Soba Recovery Center in Malibu.

15. ==> A Sea of Pink Hats – Brilliant Political
Statement

Look around at pictures of the crowd in Washington (and
around the globe) on Saturday and you will likely
notice something. The signature fashion statement of
marchers wasn’t a pantsuit, but a handmade knit pink
hat. What started as a statement about Donald Trump’s
infamously crass comments about a female reporter,
caught on like wildfire and #thepussyhatproject
chapeaus became a very visual part of nearly every one
of the hundreds of marches worldwide. Organizers said
the hats were a way to ‘grab’ the word back and while
offensive to some, others think the hats were smart,
funny and made a point without saying a word. “They’re
pink and they’re cute and they’re on people’s heads and
they’re hand-knit. They take that traditional domestic
women’s role and turn it around on their heads,” said
Lauren Duncan, a Smith College psychology professor who
teaches a course on the psychology of political
activism. “I think it was brilliant.” Contact her at

1. ==> What Kids think of Trump’s Inauguration

Do middle school students think Donald Trump is cool?
What personal habits do they admire? How do they view
his lack of experience in politics and his business
interests? How about his desire to build the wall?
You’ve heard what adults are saying but what about the
kids? With the inauguration just days away, interview
middle school teacher Red (Chad) Rohl who asked his at-
risk students to spend time researching the new
president. Red then used what his students came up with
to produce a visual blog post on our next president.
Red loves to doodle and he encourages his students to
draw on their homework and notes, too. He’s the author
of “Heavy Sketches,” a collection of 30 years’ worth of
his own drawings and a proponent of a style of learning
called sketch noting as a means to counteract kids’
short attention spans. Red appeared on WLOS-TV to
discuss his new book. Reach him at (828) 284-1973 or

2. ==> The Day After – Women March Across America

The Women’s March on Washington has inspired nearly 300
other ‘Sister Marches’ to take place this Saturday,
January 21st. All 50 states and Puerto Rico are
confirmed to have at least one grassroots-led march on
that day, as well as 55 global cities on six
continents, from Tokyo to Sydney, Nairobi to Paris to
Bogotá. “This is an unprecedented, organic and viral
grassroots global movement that is growing every day.
More than 500,000 people have already committed to
march all over the country and the world in just a
matter of weeks,” says Boston-based national sister
march spokeswoman Yordanos Eyoel, who became a U.S.
citizen last fall. Each march will have its own
program, from music and speeches to a rally at a
suffragist’s grave in upstate New York, to a verbal
“human mosaic” of people in Napa Valley sharing their
vision for the future. Discuss the marches, including
what’s happening in your listening area, and who is
taking part. Contact Tina Cassidy at (717) 478-3703;

3. ==> What’s Up with the Pink Hats?

Look around the crowd in Washington on Saturday and you
might notice something. The signature fashion statement
of women marching won’t be a pantsuit, but you may see
a sea of handmade knit pink hats. Or that’s the hope of
a group of women who’ve organized #thepussyhatproject.
The hats are a reference to Donald Trump’s infamously
crass comments about a female reporter that were caught
on a hot mike. Organizers say it’s a way to ‘grab it’
back. Volunteers and organizers have been feverishly
knitting in the hopes of getting the hats onto the
heads of a million women at the D.C. march this
Saturday. While offensive to some, others think the
hats are smart, funny and make a point without saying a
word. “They’re pink and they’re cute and they’re on
people’s heads and they’re hand-knit. They take that
traditional domestic women’s role and turn it around on
their heads,” said Lauren Duncan, a Smith College
psychology professor who teaches a course on the
psychology of political activism. “I think it’s

4. ==> Trump’s Education Pick – Civil Rights Vs. Profit?

For more than three hours on Tuesday, President-elect
Donald Trump’s pick to run the Education Department,
Betsy DeVos, handled tough questions on school choice,
charters and the future of the nation’s schools from
the Senate committee that handles education. The
billionaire has used her money to support the expansion
of public charter schools and private school vouchers
and many public school advocates say she’s an extremist
who opposes public education. Last week a group of 175
college deans released a statement stressing the
importance of “…upholding the role of public schools
as a central institution in the strengthening of our
democracy and protecting the human and civil rights of
all children and youth, especially those from
historically marginalized communities…” Among the
signers were Kathy Schultz, dean of the School of
Education at the University of Colorado and Kevin
Kumashiro, dean of the University of San Francisco
School of Education. Contact Schultz at

5. ==> National Geographic ‘Lawless Oceans’ Investigator

In 2014, cell-phone footage was posted on YouTube from
a mysterious address in Fiji, showing an unthinkable
crime – four gruesome murders at sea. In National
Geographic’s new show “Lawless Oceans,”
internationally-renowned special investigator Karsten
von Hoesslin goes on a worldwide trail to piece
together the truth behind the mysterious murders.
Invite him to talk about the new show and how the
world’s waters have become a Wild West, where criminals
can operate with impunity largely beyond the reach of
law enforcement. Hoesslin has investigated a range of
crimes on the high seas, including piracy, illegal
fishing, drug smuggling, arms trafficking and
terrorism. His casework involves infiltrating criminal
networks engaged in maritime crimes in South America,
East and West Africa and Southeast Asia. Contact

6. ==> ‘Saved by the Bell’ Producer Peter Engel

Peter Engel is one of the most prolific producers in
television. He created the teen sitcom Saved by The
Bell along with several other teen series and produced
the iconic Last Comic Standing. With more than 50 years
in the television industry, Engel can share stories of
his most memorable encounters, a behind-the-scenes
glimpse of Saved by the Bell, and his own story of
overcoming significant personal and professional
challenges. Now 80, Engel is still filled with energy,
candor, wisdom and positivity. His decades of
experience in the television industry will inspire
listeners chasing their own dreams, and the grace with
which he has overcome personal challenges will resonate
with everyone. “I Was Saved by the Bell” is Engel’s
newly-released memoir. Contact Jennifer Tucker at (856)

7. ==> The Greatest Escape of the Cold War

When 84-year-old Hungarian born American Frank Iszak
was 25, he and a group of others committed the first
hijacking of an airplane, flying it to West Germany and
freedom. On July 13, 1956, he gained international
attention for his bold escape from communist-controlled
Hungary. With six co-conspirators, Iszak seized an
airliner and set a course for the West. Invite him to
share his incredible story (including a life-or-death
brawl aboard an out-of-control airplane.) While a
Hungarian court condemned the hijackers to death, in
absentia, the entire team settled in the United States.
Iszak worked as a chemist New York and San Francisco.
He now runs a yoga studio in Rancho Santa Fe, Ca and is
negotiating film rights to his book, “Freedom Fighter.”

8. ==> Who’s Sick? Everybody!

Cases of flu are on the rise, according to a recent
statement from the United States Centers for Disease
Control and Prevention, and experts are warning that
this year’s flu season will be worse than last. This
year’s outbreak is predominantly type A flu. Learn
healthy strategies that can prevent most colds and flu,
and minimize symptoms. What single intervention reduced
type A flu 50% in children? (it wasn’t the vaccine!)

10. ==> Is there Really Free College?

There has recently been a lot of buzz about NY Governor
Andrew Cuomo’s free college proposal, but who will
actually benefit? Adrian Ridner, CEO and Co-founder of
Study.com says the idea of providing free college is a
noble one, but to realistically make it happen, we need
to make college less expensive and make the experience
more flexible for students, particularly those who are
juggling school, work and family. Invite Ridner to
discuss how alternative credit can be used to cut the
cost of a degree in half, and in some cases get the

11. ==> Reduce Climate Change Despite Washington Policy

2016 was the second-hottest year in U.S. history yet
Donald Trump’s cabinet nominees for the EPA and energy
secretary say climate change isn’t real. No wonder
people who care about the environment may be worried
about the future. Ellen Moyer, Ph.D., a 30-year career
environmental consultant, wants Americans to take heart
and understand that the choices they make and how and
where they spend their money can have a tremendous
impact on the world around them. Invite Moyer on your
show to discuss how to reduce the impact your family
makes on climate change with the foods you buy and the
way you heat and cool your home. You’ll also learn what
you can do to keep forests and wildlife healthier,
starting in your backyard and mailbox. Dr. Ellen Moyer
is a registered professional engineer with 30 years of
environmental consulting experience. She’s a regular
contributor to The Huffington Post and has presented
more than 100 seminars in North America and Europe. Her
new book is “Our Earth, Our Species, Our Selves: How to
Thrive While Creating a Sustainable World.” Contact her

12. ==> How Billionaires Stole Our Democracy

Invite author and political activist Jill Cody to
discuss ‘The Velvet Coup’ that has taken place in
American politics. Cody says, “The individuals who
executed the coup view America’s resources and people
as nothing more than new avenues of profit. Proposed
Cabinet members are all millionaires and billionaires
solidifying the coup. Their goal will be to destroy
government and privatize public programs and resources
by using code words such as ‘reform, efficiency, and
modernization.’ If America is run like a business, then
it is no longer a country.” Cody will identify key
individuals and actions, what Millennials confront, and
organizations fighting on democracy’s frontlines. Jill
Cody, M.P.A., has worked the last 31-years in public
service including politics, the environment, higher
education and organizational development. She’s the

the future is TBD…To Be Determined. The question on
everyone’s minds is “now what?” How can we best
navigate through these uncertain times? Brenda

14. ==> Trump’s Narcissism – He Hates Himself Too

Most psychologists, psychiatrists and other mental
health professionals agree that Donald Trump is a
narcissist, but Rick Patterson says most people don’t
realize that narcissism is actually rooted in self-
contempt and shame. He says, “When we come to
understand that the degree of narcissism one exudes is
frequently inversely proportional to the shame and
self-loathing we carry, we begin to see the extent to
which Donald Trump is possessed by a deep and sincere
concern about his own self-worth. This is further
demonstrated by the need he has to defend himself while
frequently tearing down others in the process.”
Patterson adds, “This is also why Trump is unable to
express remorse or regret or acknowledge any past
‘failures’ as his frail inner world might collapse
around such an admission.” But Patterson says these
attributes are easy to manipulate in someone to your
advantage. He believes Russian President Vladimir Putin
likely knows this as well, as he publicly lauds Trump
because he understands that direct confrontation with
such a person will get you nowhere, but manipulation
through admiration will work. Reverend Dr. Richard R.

1. ==> The Plot to Hack America

Was the 2016 election rigged by the Russians? Invite
New York Times bestselling author and MSNBC contributor
Malcolm Nance to talk about the biggest political
scandal since Watergate. Nance says the entire Russian
hacking was done specifically to elect Donald Trump as
president and that Trump’s advisors, including Paul
Manafort, were most likely involved in the attack. He
also believes Vladimir Putin personally developed and
orchestrated the hacking. He’ll discuss how the
Russians have devastated individuals, political groups,
and entire nations with their cybercrimes; and how they
may have cultivated Donald Trump as an unwitting
“asset” to facilitate their ultimate foreign policy
goals—disband NATO, dominate Eastern Europe, and
replace America as the world’s superpower. Nance’s new
book is “The Plot to Hack America: How Putin’s
Cyberspies and WikiLeaks Tried to Steal the 2016
Election.” Contact Leslie Davis at (212) 643-6816, ext.

2. ==> A Kids’-Eye View of Trump’s Inauguration

Why do some middle school students think Donald Trump
is cool? What personal habit do they admire? How do
they view his lack of experience in politics and his
business interests? How about his desire to build the
wall? You’ve heard what adults are saying but what
about the kids? With the inauguration just days away,
interview middle school teacher Red (Chad) Rohl who
asked his at-risk students to spend time researching
the new president. Red then used what his students came
up with to produce a visual blog post on our next
president. Red loves to doodle and he encourages his
students to draw on their homework and notes, too. He’s
the author of “Heavy Sketchers,” a collection of 30
years’ worth of his own drawings and a proponent of a
style of learning called sketch noting as a means to
counteract kids’ short attention spans. Red appeared on
WLOS-TV to discuss his new book. Reach him at (828)

3. ==> The Day After – Women’s Marches Across America

Discuss the marches, including
what’s happening in your listening area, and who is
taking part. Contact Tina Cassidy at (717) 478-3703;

in the television industry, Engel can share stories of
his most memorable encounters, a behind-the-scenes
glimpse of Saved by the Bell, and his own story of
overcoming significant personal and professional
challenges. Now 80, Engel is still filled with energy,
candor, wisdom and positivity. His decades of

6. ==> Need Help Adjusting to a Trump Presidency?

Many Americans are deeply depressed about the election
of President Donald Trump and worried about the
country’s future. Though understandable, Devadas
Chelvam says the depression and worry makes the
situation even worse. Chelvam says people need to
choose to be happy—right now! “Find a way to love Trump
and the members of his administration unconditionally,
to visualize Americans being reconciled and the country
as peaceful and prosperous.” He says, “Depression and
worry are energy spent to create exactly what is
feared. And that is a rather risky attitude to adopt at
this juncture.” Born in Sri Lanka, Devadas Chelvam
spent nine years as a priest before embarking on a 20-
year career in child protective services in New York
City. He has master’s degrees in theology and sociology
and conducts workshops on the healing power of love.

His new book,

flown ideas for space missions from the 1940s through
the end of the 20th century. Contact him at (626)

9. ==> Obamacare – What Happens Next?

The Affordable Care Act—Obamacare— is in trouble. It’s
extended health insurance coverage to fewer people than
promised, in many parts of the country, insurers are
abandoning the market due to financial losses, and even
those covered face double digit premium increases and
deductibles that are hundreds of percent higher than
before. Supporters say the problems can be fixed but
critics insist that Obamacare is mortally wounded, and
should be euthanized. Invite Philip Romero and Randy
Miller to help your listeners make sense of the health
policy debate. You’ll hear how health costs have grown
more than twice as fast as incomes, why the health
sector now consumes almost one in five dollars in our
economy, and the blind spots that Democrats and
Republicans each have about health care. Romero is a
finance professor and former business dean at the
University of Oregon, as well as twice chief economist
to the governor of California. Randy Miller is an
insurance and public finance specialist. Their book
“Health Financing Without Deficits: Reform that
Sidesteps Political Gridlock” outlines a new way to

10. ==> Billionaires Took Our Democracy – How We Get It
Back

Invite author and political activist Jill Cody to
discuss ‘The Velvet Coup’ that has taken place in
American politics. Cody says, “The individuals who
executed the coup view America’s resources and people
as nothing more than new avenues of profit. Proposed
Cabinet members are all millionaires and billionaires
solidifying the coup. Their goal will be to destroy
government and privatize public programs and resources

11. ==> Are Schools Teaching Kids to Stop Thinking?

School used to be a place where students learned how to
use reason and academic skills to solve problems. But
nationally recognized author Tom DeWeese says today’s
Department of Education instructs teachers not to teach
students how to think but what to think. DeWeese says
the classroom has become a place for non-stop
propaganda and behavior modification to impose a
“proper” thought process called “Globally Acceptable
Truth.” DeWeese says the result is today’s generation
of college students who live in constant fear of
microaggression and trigger warnings. Invite DeWeese to
discuss how we got here and what is required to restore
proper education in our schools. Tom DeWeese has been
featured on Fox News’ Follow the Money, Hannity and
Colmes, The Michael Reagan Talk Show and in The New
York Times, The Wall Street Journal, The Washington
Post, and The Washington Times. He’s the author of
“Erase.” Contact him at (540) 341-8911 (VA);

decide to join a gym, lose five pounds, eat less
chocolate or be nicer to their in-laws for the new
year: Well done! The author of the new book “Motivate
Yourself: Get the Life You Want, Find Purpose and
Achieve Fulfilment” says, “Resolutions are dramas
waiting to happen. They are expectations that you are
going to fail after your good intentions peter out.”
She says, “What works is a desire or intention to
slightly steer yourself in the direction you want to
go, a gentle steering away from what didn’t work and a
steering into where you want to take your life.” Andro

13. ==> Stop People-Pleasing for a Healthier 2017

Want to have less stress, sleep better, get fewer colds
and flus and avoid headaches and heartburn? Doing so
may be as simple as saying no to obligations, chores
and social commitments you agree to just to make other
people happy. Find out why people-pleasers get sick
more often from Dr. Don (MacDonald). He’s a recovering
people-pleaser and chiropractor who realized that many
patients were coming into his office because of stress-
related conditions fueled by their own excess worries
and inability to say no for their own good. Dr. Don
will explain ways moving your body, deciding in advance
what you will and won’t do and defining your purpose
can lead to a healthier and happier New Year. Dr. Don
is the bestselling author of “The Underdog Curse.” He’s

14. ==> What Really Caused Fisher and Reynolds’ Deaths?

Millions of fans were devastated by the recent deaths
of Carrie Fisher and her mother Debbie Reynolds.
Zeesham Raza says the mother/daughter passing was
caused by a lifetime of heartbreak and emotional
baggage that reached a tipping point. Moreover, he
says, we can learn from them how to prevent our own
past traumas from turning deadly. He says, “Reynolds’
childhood feelings of rejection, shame and
worthlessness from being unpopular at school and
impoverished, the betrayal she felt over Eddie Fisher’s
leaving her for Elizabeth Taylor and the humiliation
she experienced from her second husband’s financial
difficulties—all caused her emotional bucket to
overflow when Carrie died.” He’ll also discuss Carrie,
and the impact of her mother’s two divorces as well as
the self-abuse, shame and humiliation she experienced
from her own addiction and failed relationships.
Listeners will learn a technique anyone can use to
release trapped emotions so they won’t lead to disease
and ailments. He’s a healer and author who took charge
of his own emotional health after getting a serious
diagnosis. Reach him at (416) 858-4788;

15. ==> How’s Your Inner-Selfie?

Social media is full of selfies taken by everyone from
the president to the pope and ordinary people. We love
them because they are fun, quick and attention-getting.
They are also superficial. Married duo Roe and Don
Polcyzneski Jr. want to tell your listeners about a
deeper form of selfie they call an inner-selfie.

1. ==> Democrats Playing with Fire with Russia

Norman Solomon says Democrats are still stuck on trying
to tie the Kremlin around Donald Trump’s neck, a
strategy that failed during the campaign, and could
have tremendous consequences now. He says, “Top
Democrats would much rather scapegoat Vladimir Putin
than scrutinize how they’ve lost touch with working-
class voters. …The reality is grim, and potentially
catastrophic beyond comprehension. By pushing to
further polarize with the Kremlin, congressional
Democrats are increasing the chances of a military
confrontation with Russia. By teaming up with the likes
of Republican senators John McCain and Lindsey Graham
to exert bipartisan pressure for escalation, Democrats
could help stampede the Trump administration in
reckless directions.” Solomon adds, “This approach is
already underway. It is worse than irresponsible. It is
madness that could lead to a nuclear holocaust.” Norman
Solomon is executive director of the Institute for
Public Accuracy and co-founder of the online activist
group RootsAction.org. Contact him at

2. ==> The Trouble with Tillerson

Donald Trump’s choice for secretary of state, Rex
Tillerson, was in the hot seat on Wednesday as senators
began his confirmation hearing. The former Exxon chief
faces stiff opposition from both sides of the aisle and
was grilled on Russia, human rights and trade. Antonia
Juhasz, an energy analyst, author and investigative
reporter, recently wrote a profile on Tillerson which
says, “On January 1, Rex Tillerson retired from oil
giant Exxon Mobil after 41 years, the last 10 as CEO
and chairman of the board. When he appears in January
before the U.S. Senate Foreign Relations Committee to
be considered for U.S. Secretary of State, Exxon Mobil
will be preparing to appear before a jury at the U.S.
District Court for the District of Columbia, just
blocks away. There, the company will face allegations
that security forces under its employ engaged in
serious human rights abuses, including murder, torture,
sexual violence, kidnapping, battery, assault, burning,
arbitrary arrest, detention and false imprisonment. The
complaint specifically names Rex Tillerson.” Juhasz is

4. ==> Millennial Pop Culture Reporter on Hollywood &
Politics

While many lauded her speech, actress Meryl Streep is
facing some backlash for her political comments at the
Golden Globes. Apparently, some in Hollywood (and
outside the entertainment world) say they’re tired of
actors and their political pronouncements. Invite
millennial pop culture/political commentator Pavlina
Jain Osta to discuss the topic as well as other
entertainment stories including Jim Carrey’s recent
announcement that he has no interest in doing stand-up
comedy anymore. Pavlina has worked in radio and TV and
has been interviewing stars, athletes and newsmakers

5. ==> ‘The Bake-Out’ – New Educational Cannabis Show

The Bake-Out is a new, weekly online TV talk show about
today’s controversial world of cannabis. The show
premieres later this month and features former UFC
World Champion Frank Shamrock along with celebrity
nutritionist Robert Ferguson. The pair will answer
questions, dispel stereotypes, and reveal the truth
about cannabis. Invite Frank and Robert to talk about
the show which boasts a guest lineup of professional
athletes, celebrities, law enforcement officials,
physicians, government officials, cannabis activists
and patients. Shamrock is a pioneer in the sport of
mixed martial arts (MMA). Popularly known worldwide as
the first UFC Middleweight Champion and the first
champion to retire with his belt, Shamrock went on to
apply his larger-than-life personality to broadcasting
and international color commentary for the sport of
MMA. He also runs Shamrock Way, a non-profit
organization that serves at-risk youth. Ferguson serves

7. ==> How to Survive a Mass Shooting

When Esteben Santiago killed five people and wounded
six in a busy baggage area at Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood
Airport last week using a legally-owned gun he carried
in his own checked bag, airport safety became front and
center on the public’s radar. To find out what anyone
can do to minimize the chance of being shot at an
airport in such an incident, interview Chris Bird,
former British Army officer, former San Antonio
Express-News crime reporter and author of “Surviving a
Mass Killer Rampage.” He’ll talk about avoiding ticket
counters and if possible, not checking a bag, and
maintaining situational awareness at all times. He’ll
discuss why airports shouldn’t be “gun-free zones” and
why he prefers driving to flying. Bird says, “It’s just
ridiculous that people should be disarmed and therefore
have to depend on government bureaucrats to keep them
safe. Everyone knows that government bureaucrats have a
terrible record of keeping contraband from getting
through TSA checks.” “Surviving a Mass Killer Rampage”
has been endorsed by a retired Texas Ranger captain and
retired CIA officer. Contact Bird at (210) 308-8191 or

the Hollywood blacklist and the making of the classic
western High Noon. Frankel says the film is known for
the memorable performances by Gary Cooper and Grace
Kelly, but what many people don’t know is that it was
written by Carl Foreman, a former Communist who
intended it to be a parable about the Hollywood
blacklist. He’ll explain how, during filming, Foreman
is forced to testify before the House Committee on Un-
American Activities about his former membership in the
Communist Party. He’ll share stories of some of
Hollywood’s most talented writers and producers and how
they navigated the era of Hollywood’s Red Scare.
Frankel’s new book is “High Noon: The Hollywood
Blacklist and the Making of an American Classic.”

1. ==> Fake News VS Independent Information

At the end of 2016 the US Senate quietly passed a bill
that will create a new propaganda agency. The new law
mandates the U.S. Secretary of State to collaborate
with the Secretary of Defense, Director of National
Intelligence and other federal agencies to create a
Global Engagement Center ‘to lead, synchronize, and
coordinate efforts of the Federal Government to
recognize, understand, expose, and counter foreign
state and non-state propaganda and disinformation
efforts aimed at undermining United States national
security interests.’ The law directs the Center to be
formed in 180 days and to share expertise among
agencies and to ‘coordinate with allied nations.’
Investigative journalist Rick Sterling says, “The new
law is remarkable for a number of reasons, not the
least because it merges a new McCarthyism about
purported dissemination of Russian ‘propaganda’ on the
Internet, with a new Orwellianism by creating a kind of
Ministry of Truth — or Global Engagement Center — to
protect the American people from ‘foreign propaganda
and disinformation.’” Invite Sterling to discuss the
issue of ‘fake news’ and what the new agency will
likely be doing. Sterling is an independent
investigative journalist. He just wrote the piece “The
War Against Alternative Information” for
ConsortiumNews.com. Contact him at rsterling1@gmail.com

2. ==> Trump’s Cabinet – Unqualified Education
Secretary?

Diane Ravitch served as Assistant Secretary of
Education and Counselor to the Secretary of Education
from 1991-1993 under the George H. W. Bush
administration. About Trump’s pick for Education
Secretary, she says, “Betsy DeVos should not be
approved by the Senate committee or confirmed by the
Senate. She has no experience or qualifications for the
job. She is a lobbyist for alternatives to public
schools.” She adds, “DeVos is a billionaire who has
never worked in a public school, never attended a
public school, never sent her own children to public
school. She has lived in a billionaire bubble of
privilege. She has no understanding of the needs of our
nation’s public schools, and she is in fact actively
hostile to them. This is unacceptable. She is
unacceptable.” Ravitch is a research professor of
education at New York University. She is the author of
many books, including “Reign of Error: The Hoax of the
Privatization Movement and the Danger to America’s
Public Schools” and “The Death and Life of the Great
American School System: How Testing and Choice Are
Undermining Education.” Contact her at

3. ==> Obamacare – What Happens Next?

Their book
“Health Financing Without Deficits: Reform that
Sidesteps Political Gridlock” outlines a new way to
finance health care. Contact Romero at (503) 640-6206;

4. ==> How to Survive an Airport Mass Shooting

5. ==> Free College?!

Invite Ridner to
discuss how alternative credit can be used to cut the
cost of a degree in half, and in some cases get the
total cost of a Bachelor’s degree under $10k. He can
also talk about a unique free college model being used
in Mountain View, CA that leverages a combination of
discounted course and tuition fees, low-cost
transferrable credit, local workforce development funds
and corporate sponsorships, to make college free for
any resident. Fed up with the high cost of education,
Adrian started Study.com in 2002 with the mission of
making education accessible. Today the company helps
over 25 million students a month, from middle school
through college, with short video-based online courses.

Raza will discuss the
traumatic events and unprocessed emotions both women
endured and ways they could have been diffused. He
says, “Reynolds’ childhood feelings of rejection, shame
and worthlessness from being unpopular at school and
impoverished, the betrayal she felt over Eddie Fisher’s
leaving her for Elizabeth Taylor and the humiliation
she experienced from her second husband’s financial
difficulties—all caused her emotional bucket to
overflow when Carrie died.” He’ll also discuss Carrie,
and the impact of her mother’s two divorces as well as
the self-abuse, shame and humiliation she experienced
from her own addiction and failed relationships.
Listeners will learn a technique anyone can use to
release trapped emotions so they won’t lead to disease
and ailments. He’s a healer and author who took charge
of his own emotional health after getting a serious

9. ==> New Year Resolutions are for Losers

Andro Donovan has two words for people who didn’t

His latest book is “From Fear to Limitless Love: Your
Path to Finding Self-Worth, Harmony and Bliss.” Contact
him at (610) 882-1032; dc@limitlesslove.net

11. ==> Expect Protests to Be the New Norm

Carol Richardson says, “When the majority popular vote
does not elect a president, and the president-elect has
expressed hate towards large portions of the US
population, protesters are speaking up and will
continue to speak up to express what is needed in a
healthy democracy. America has become an oligarchy
which has exercised a too-often unrecognized tyranny
over American politics.” Richardson, an Interfaith
Minister, says no matter what side of the aisle
Americans choose, most of us have experienced tyranny
financially or politically, and with this divisive
election, protests against perceived tyranny may become
the norm. She adds, “American democracy was founded on
spiritual ideals, and we will only return to a
cooperative, peaceful democracy when we restore these
healthy ideals in American life.” Rev. Carol
Richardson, M.Div., MPH is an Interfaith Intuitive
Healer and Coach in the Washington, DC area, and an
expert in healthy spirituality. She’s the author of

12. ==> How to Talk to Your Kids about Prejudice

Recent events have left many Americans frightened,
angry, and divided. In this day and age, it’s
impossible to shelter our children from the constant
influx of information from the media. Influences from
television, magazines, newspapers, social media and the
internet are so ubiquitous, even the most vigilant
parent may not be able to completely shield their child
from disturbing, adult-appropriate news. So how do
parents talk to their kids about the frightening,
violent, and prejudiced acts flooding our media?
Parenting expert Thomas Gagliano can discuss how to
talk to your kids about the violence and prejudice in
the media and what an age-appropriate discussion should
include. Tom will also touch on whether we should – and
can – limit a child’s exposure to the Internet and
media, and share ways to ensure your children feel safe
and not overly fearful. Tom Gagliano, MSW, is a mentor,
speaker and author. Contact him at (732) 266-4952;

13. ==> Stop People-Pleasing for a Healthier 2017

14. ==> Is Your Childhood Running Your Life?

Do you ever wonder why you do the things you do? It may
be because your childhood is hijacking your adult life.
Interview Michelle Nagel, an author and resilient
survivor of child abuse, for a discussion on ways
growing up poor, losing a parent to death or to
divorce, jail or drugs or alcohol or other adverse
childhood experiences may be leading to bad choices on
your part today. She’ll reveal a test you can take to
find out if you have an adverse childhood experience
impacting your life and discover the power that comes
with acknowledging your past. She will discuss some
simple techniques that, if implemented, can change your
life. Over the past 15 years, Nagel, the president of
Soul Shift, Inc., has been guiding clients through the
process of overcoming their traumatic past and finding
internal peace and serenity. Contact her at (541)

15. ==> Ways to Save the World in 2017

It’s easy to feel overwhelmed when you think about some
of the environmental and health challenges facing the
world today. But environmental consultant Ellen Moyer,
Ph.D., says, “Whether we like it or not, or know it or
not, our small actions repeated day after day add up to
huge impacts! Consumers inescapably weigh in on a vast
array of issues every day. We make a difference with
each bite we take.” She’ll discuss how healthy eating
is nearly impossible for many people who simply can’t
afford it because of the unfair advantage. industrial
food production enjoys over organic food production.
She’ll share easy but powerful ways to significantly
improve your health and the health of our environment,
and the best way to use your resources (money and
otherwise) wisely. Dr. Ellen Moyer is a registered
professional engineer with 30 years of environmental
consulting experience. She’s a regular contributor to
The Huffington Post and has presented more than 100
seminars in North America and Europe. Her soon-to-be-
released book is “Our Earth, Our Species, Our Selves:
How to Thrive While Creating a Sustainable World.”

John Lennon’s acoustic guitar from his 1969 Montreal
and Amsterdam “Bed-Ins for Peace” with Yoko Ono, the
Fender Stratocaster Jimi Hendrix used to perform “The
Star-Spangled Banner” at Woodstock, stage costumes worn
by the Village People and original handwritten lyrics

3. ==> Carrie Fisher – Dying On Your Own Terms

Actress Carrie Fisher’s death… and then the death of
her mother just days later… shocked fans and left many
talking about the crazy circumstances. The 60-year-old
Fisher suffered cardiac arrest on a plane, was revived,
and then spent several days on life support in the ICU.
Dr. Kevin Haselhorst asks, “Did the physicians believe
Ms. Fisher was going to recover? Did she have an
advance directive? Was the force with her and did she
get what she wanted or deserved?” Invite Haselhorst to
discuss advance directives and how to make sure your
wishes surrounding your own death are followed. He
says, “The key to dying with dignity is to make your
death expected. The purpose of an advance directive is
to let family members know that you expect to die on
your own terms and at your own time.” Dr. Kevin
Haselhorst is an emergency medicine physician and the
author of “Wishes to Die for.” He offers a free PDF

4. ==> Let’s Talk Cannibals

For centuries, cannibalism has been written off as a
bizarre phenomenon with little scientific significance.
But the true nature of cannibalism—the role it plays in
evolution as well as human culture—is even more
interesting (and less disturbing) than the many
misconceptions we’ve come to accept as fact. Dr. Bill
Schutt, PhD, a researcher at the American Museum of
Natural History, will discuss why some amphibians
consume their mother’s skin; why certain insects bite
the heads off their partners; why, up until the end of
the twentieth century, Europeans regularly ate human
body parts as medical curatives; and how cannibalism
might be linked to the extinction of Neanderthals. Bill
Schutt is a professor of biology at LIU Post and a
research associate in residence at the American Museum
of Natural History. His latest book is “Cannibalism: A
Perfectly Natural History.” Contact Johanna Ramos-Boyer

6. ==> The Greatest Escape of the Cold War

When 84-year-old Hungarian born American Frank Iszak
was 25, he and a group of others committed the first
hijacking of an airplane, flying it to West Germany and
freedom. On July 13, 1956, he gained international

He’s the author of
“Erase.” Contact him at (540) 341-8911 (VA);

8. ==> The ‘Trump Effect’ on Small Business

Every day, 86 percent of U.S. workers grudgingly wake
up, get dressed, grab some coffee, and shuffle off to a
job they can’t stand. Many do so because they feel
stuck. But they really aren’t, says Tom Scarda, a man
who made a big change in his own life 17 years ago when
he quit his decade-long job working for the New York
Subway system to buy a smoothie franchise. Scarda says
with the new Trump administration focusing on reversing
regulations on small business, it may be the perfect
time to catch the wave of economic growth with your own
franchise. Scarda will talk about the upside of the
franchise industry and how certain industries within
franchising are bracing for a catapult effect of
growth. Tom will also reveal the franchise industries
to avoid during a Trump administration. Scarda is a
dynamic speaker, entrepreneur and author of “Franchise
Savvy” and “The Magic of Choosing Uncertainty.” He’s
been featured in dozens of magazines and newspapers and
is a sought-after radio and TV guest. Contact Tom
Scarda at (516) 322-1435 (NYC); tom@tomscarda.com

Top stock market researcher, investor and expert Gary
Stone says everyday investors can use low-effort
strategies that take only 15 minutes a week to create
thriving stock market portfolios and comfortable
retirements while cutting loose from the financial
shackles of fee-ridden Target Date and active mutual
funds. “The primary reason people risk running out of
money in retirement is that they simply make the wrong
multi-decade investment choices for their retirement
nest egg while they are working,” Stone says. He’ll
discuss how to protect a nest egg from the next severe
bear market and why diversification is a poor risk
management strategy for multi-decade investing. Gary

are grants and scholarships available, but millions of
American families don’t qualify for any financial aid.
Invite Adrian Ridner, CEO and co-founder of Study.com,
to explain secrets colleges don’t want you to know that
could save you thousands on your degree. Plus, you’ll
learn simple things you can do to reduce the cost of

15. ==> Rock ’n’ Roll is Alive and Kicking in Russia

Richard Hume moved from Britain to Russia in 2004 and
discovered a vibrant rock community. In 1957, Soviet
authorities had invited Western rock and jazz musicians
to Russia as a ploy to appear open-minded. They
accidentally kick-started a cultural movement. Despite
uniquely Russian problems of government censorship and
expensive instruments, Russian youth embraced rock and
made it their own. Hume began writing articles for the
British magazine Maggie’s Blue Suede News. His new book
“Russia ’N’ Roll!” is a collection of those articles.
From memories of his own experiences at iconic British
rock concerts in the 1970s and 80s to behind the scenes
reports of Russian clubs to interviews with Russian
musicians, Hume brings the rock world vividly to life.
You might start out unaware of bands like Stressor,
Beat Devils, the Marshmallows, or Raw Cats, but by the
end, you might discover your new favorite band. Contact
Richard Hume at richardhume588@hotmail.com or 007495
