1. ==> The Drag Queen Story Hour Controversy

Many libraries across the country have been hosting or
participating in Drag Queen Story Hours and a few have
experienced pushback from some members of their
community. The Pennsylvania Pastors Network (PPN) is
alerting parents to the events, which have drawn both
support and protests. Executive Director Gary Dull, a
pastor at Faith Baptist Church of Altoona says,
“Subjecting children to drag queens who not only read a
story with an LGBTQ agenda, but who also coerce
children to accept their lifestyle, is child abuse by
the parents who bring their children to watch men
dressed up as women.” Organizers of the story hours say
the program is about tolerance and gives kids
glamorous, positive, and unabashedly queer role models.
“If children were allowed they’d dress up every day. I
don’t think they’re thinking about gender assumptions,”
says Juliana Delgado Lopera, executive director of
RADAR Productions. Contact at her at
jonathan@dragqueenstoryhour.org. The Pennsylvania
Pastors Network is a group of biblically faithful
clergy and church liaisons. Contact Jeff Tolson at

2. ==> What White People Don’t Get about Blackface

A series of scandals last week brought the issue of
“blackface” — when nonblack people darken their skin
using makeup or other products to imitate a black
person — roaring back into the cultural conversation.
What may seem like harmless behavior to white people is
deeply offensive to black people; moreover, it is just
one aspect of lingering racial insensitivity in the
U.S. Nita Wiggins will address this issue including why
she says Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, should resign and
not just because of the problem image. You’ll hear how
just last month, the Virginia Senate, with the approval
of the governor and despite the silent protest of the
lieutenant governor, once again honored Confederate
general Robert E. Lee during a Senate session. A former
resident of Charlottesville, Va., Nita is a professor
who teaches racial sensitivity to her journalism
students in Paris, and her memoir, “Civil Rights Baby,”
is being discussed as a possible film. Contact her at
NWiggins@rtirguests.com

3. ==> What Black History Month Can Teach Us about
Resilience

“While Black History Month offers the opportunity to
celebrate our strength and resilience, we have much
more to overcome. However, this culture of low
expectations shouldn’t be used as an excuse. Don’t
allow that to be a stumbling block; use it as an
incentive to move beyond!” according to Dr. Dee
Carroll. Having faced huge challenges in her own life,
Dr. Carroll says that the only one who can keep you
from success is you. “Moving beyond is a choice!” she
says. Invite her on you show to discuss why negative
beliefs can do more harm than real challenges and how
to use life’s roadblocks to become stronger and more
successful. She’ll also share a 30-second quick fix for
releasing, recovering and reinventing yourself. Dee
Carroll, Ph.D. has over 35 years of experience in HR
and management consulting. The author of “Emotional
Emancipation: Step into Your Freedom, Reinvent Your
Challenges and Move Beyond”, she has been featured on
CNN, Fortune 500, Psychology Today and numerous radio
shows, and other media nationwide. Contact her at (301)

4. ==> Our Love-Hate Relationship with Oscar Speeches

With no host and no opening monologue, this year’s
Academy Awards on Feb. 24 are expected to be a
departure from the past. What won’t change are the
acceptance speeches the stars will make that will be
watched by more than 30 million people. Some actors
will drone on and be played off, but a few will
mesmerize. Communication expert Paul Hellman will share
whose acceptance speech succeeded and why. He’ll reveal
three things everyone needs to hold anyone’s
attention—even stars’—in an age when our attention span
is just eight seconds. Hellman can also share memorable
anecdotes from past Oscar nights including who gave the
shortest acceptance speech; he consults and speaks
internationally on how to excel in high-stakes
communications. His columns and advice have appeared
in the New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com
and on public radio’s Marketplace and CNN’s Business
Unusual. He is the author of “You’ve Got 8 Seconds:
Communication Secrets for a Distracted World” (AMACOM).

5. ==> Single by Choice? It’s Your Week Too!

Most folks think of this week as Valentine’s week, but
it’s also ‘Satisfied Staying Single Week.’ In 2018,
according to U.S. Census data, just 30 percent of young
adults 18 to 34 were married, a number that is half of
what it was 40 years ago. Young people are increasingly
likely to delay getting married or not get married at
all, a development that Patricia Houtz, author of the
upcoming book “Solo by Choice,” understands. In honor
of the week that celebrates the single life, have Houtz
on your show to talk about why marriage is not for
everyone and that’s a good thing. In fact, some 55
percent of adults in the 2017 census said that marriage
is not necessary for a happy life. Houtz can also talk
about the remarkable life she has led by being single
and child-free. That life of freedom has included
dating older men, carrying a gun and busting drug
dealers. Contact her at (775) 451-3191;
PHoutz@rtirguests.com

6. ==> Never Make a Mistake in Love Again!

Pick the wrong date or mate, and you could face break-
ups/divorce, lonely single parenting, financial
challenges, years of regret, even abuse! Perhaps you’ll
become a statistic in #MeToo! So what’s to know, to
protect yourself? Interview psychotherapist/sex-
therapist and relationship expert Beatty Cohan, Ph.D.,
known for helping tens-of-thousands through her
counseling, her book “For Better, For Worse Forever:
Discover the Path to Lasting Love”, and her Ask Beatty
radio program. Invite her on your show and learn the 5
best things to have in common with a romantic partner,
if office romances are risky, and whether delaying sex
is wise or foolish. From blind dates to warning signs
your new flame isn’t for you, Dr. Beatty’s got great
advice for anyone looking for real love. Contact her at

7. ==> Why You Can’t Find Love

Everyone wants to be in love. Especially when
Valentine’s Day nears. Some folks seem to have a hard
time finding love and others seem to fall for the wrong
person over and over again. Joffre McClung says both
types of people have the same basic issue when it comes
to love. “If you want to find and fall in love with the
right person you need to already be in love—with
yourself!” The author of “The Heart of the Matter” will
suggest ways to go from “wishing for love” to “loving
who you truly are” and explain how tending to your own
needs can bring unexpected benefits to your life. Give
listeners a quick test to see what area they may need
to bolster with more self-love, and learn simple ways
to start and end the day with self-appreciation and
gratitude. Joffre McClung has appeared on numerous
radio and TV programs. A former media producer,
independent filmmaker, and author, she takes the
esoteric and brings it back down to earth with a big
dose of common sense. Contact her at (917) 994-0225
(TX); JMcClung@rtirguests.com

8. ==> Dr. Love – 25 Ways to Develop a Loving Attitude

Valentine’s Day can be great or awful, but let’s be
honest, focusing on love for one day in February
doesn’t really make sense. To really become more
loving, more centered and more spiritually awake it’s
going to take more than that. It’s going to take a love
action plan! Michael McGee, M.D., will share with your
audience his 25 “love practices”, and February is the
perfect month to start! “Love is one of the most
confused and misused words in the English language.
Love is not a feeling. Love is an attitude that
inspires to action to enhance life!” Dr. Michael McGee
trained at Stanford and Harvard Medical Schools. He is
the creator of the unique 12 Step Touchstone Approach
to Recovery and author of “The Joy of Recovery: The New
12 Step Guide to Recovery from Addiction”, an approach
that works better than AA for many people. Contact Dr.
McGee at (978) 971-9703; MMcGee@rtirguests.com

9. ==> A Better Valentine’s Day in 5 Minutes

Want to really connect with your Valentine? If you have
just five minutes to spare each day—and who doesn’t?
—Saundra Dalton-Smith, M.D., will tell you what to do
to boost the intimacy you experience as a couple,
including your sex life. She’ll explain how to make the
most of this five minutes whether you sit on the bed,
on the couch or anywhere in between as you give each
other uninterrupted time to make eye contact and talk
about your lives. Far too often, Dr. Saundra says,
couples spend most of their time on conflict
resolution—not closeness. She’ll explain what social
rest and emotional rest are and ways couples can
provide these respites for their spouses so everyone
wins. Board-certified in internal medicine, Dr. Saundra
has been featured in Prevention, Women’s Day, Redbook,
First for Women, and numerous other media outlets. Her
newest book is “Sacred Rest: Recover Your Life, Renew
Your Energy, Restore Your Sanity.” Contact her at (256)

10. ==> Artificial Intelligence Is Coming for Your Job

Across the business world, major advances in technology
including robotics, automation and artificial
intelligence are expected to dramatically transform the
makeup of the workforce in the near future. This trend
will fundamentally change how human workers are
utilized, including those in the sales profession, and
whether they will even be needed to perform certain job
functions at all, notes DJ Sebastian, author of the new
book, “The Selling Revolution: Prospering in the World
of Artificial Intelligence.” Sebastian warns that
advanced technologies driven by artificial intelligence
will significantly disrupt the sales profession.
Interview him and learn what professions are most
vulnerable to job elimination and the specific threat
to the sales industry that could eliminate half of the
sales force within the next three years. For more than
20 years DJ Sebastian served in strategic selling roles
for leading technology corporations. Contact him at

11. ==> New Federal Tax Rules Will Hurt Some Taxpayers

Tax filers who were expecting to pay less federal
income tax this year may be in for an unpleasant
surprise thanks to new regulations. CPA Grapeson Wilson
says, “They may find the major portion of their
itemized deduction has been wiped away.” Invite Wilson
on your show to explain how your listeners can save
money on taxes, especially those who live in high
property tax areas and states with high income taxes.
They’ll also learn why, in spite of all that, Wilson
lauds the new tax reform for the benefits it provides
to small- to medium-size businesses. Grapeson Wilson is
president of Grapeson M. Wilson CPA LLC, a Houston-
based CPA firm whose clients range from solopreneurs to
multimillion-dollar corporations. He is the author of
the course “Tax Saver Series (Standard Vs Itemized)
Deductions.” Contact him at (832) 675-9400 (office)

12. ==> Would You Regret Leaving Rockstar Life for
Family?

Kevin Guest and his band were finally headed to
Nashville when something in his gut made him stop.
After years of hard work, Kevin now felt if he
continued to pursue his passion for music, he’d lose
his wife and kids. So he stepped off the path, caught
crap from his bandmates, and ventured forward into the
corporate unknown. 25 years later, with stories galore
(interviewing Gene Simmons one-on-one, onstage with
Ozzy Osbourne, holding the Hope Diamond in his hands),
he says he has no regrets about his choice. Kevin, now
the CEO of a global, billion-dollar company, says,
“Just like music in disharmony is hard to hear, so are
our lives.” Invite him to share his wildly entertaining
stories and how he found harmony in life by utilizing
12 foundational principles. Kevin Guest has been
interviewed by Dr. Oz, several TV news shows, podcasts
and radio interviews. He’s the author of “All the Right
Reasons.” Contact Tim Brown at (801) 557-1466;

13. ==> Thursday is National Organ Donor Day

February 14th is National Organ Donor Day and a chance
for you to boost a concept that 95 percent of Americans
believe in even though, paradoxically, only 54 percent
actually have registered as organ donors. With Joe
Lafferty as your guest, you’ll not only explode the
myths that keep people from signing up to be organ
donors but you’ll also explore the role Hollywood can
play in saving lives. In addition, you’ll treat your
audience to Joe’s inspiring story. Joe has survived
cancer, diabetes, vision loss, a pulmonary embolism,
kidney failure, heart surgery, a double organ
transplant and seven minutes of death; all while
playing high school and college football, working for
three D-1A athletic departments, the Orange Bowl and
the Dallas Cowboys. He also coached 14 seasons of high
school football, including 15 future NFL players. He’s
a member of the Donate Life Hollywood board and
coauthor of the upcoming book “Justin Time: A Memoir of
Faith and Fight for Life.” Contact him at (412)
897-1313; joelafferty@me.com

14. ==> How Shame Keeps Addicts Hooked

As opioid addiction has reached epidemic proportions,
society stigmatizes addicts. According to Dr. Isaac
Alexis, this is just making the crisis worse. “It’s not
just about treating the addict,” he says. “It’s about
treating their environments and families. We have to
work with society as a whole to address the issue. We
don’t shame people who have diabetes or cancer. But
because of the stigma associated with opioid addition,
addicts are reluctant to come forward to seek
treatment. We have to treat the addict as a human
being.” Dr. Isaac completed an internship in trauma
surgery at Cornell University at New York Hospital of
Queens. He served as medical director at the Department
of Justice as well as director of infection control and
chair of the quality improvement medical committee. He
is the author of the book “Life and Death behind the
Brick and Razor-Code Red Diamond” and the upcoming “The
Seductive Pink Crystal”. Contact Isaac at

15. ==> How Diet Can Dramatically Change Cancer
Survival

When Anthony Randle’s wife, Jessica, was diagnosed with
stage four breast cancer, her doctors told her she
could eat whatever she wanted while undergoing
aggressive treatments. But after conducting exhaustive
research, he discovered that certain foods actually
feed cancer. “Doctors will tell patients not to smoke
or drink, but nothing about sugar,” he says. “I learned
that sugar actually feeds cancer. I also saw chemo
patients eating fast food and popsicles. I thought,
‘Wow, this is so wrong!’” After eliminating sugar and
other unhealthy foods from her diet, Jessica sailed
through chemo with virtually no side effects. He shares
his poignant experiences in “The True Story of a
Husband, A Best Friend and Care Giver: The Struggle
Within”, and can reveal how he and his wife made it
through this traumatic experience healthier and happier
than ever. Contact Anthony at ARandle@rtirguests.com;
(702) 533-6667.

16. ==> Get ‘Marriage Fit’ Before Walking Down the
Aisle

When we want to get into top physical shape, we adjust
our diets and lifestyles and hit the gym. Pastor Eric
Hawthorne says that the same principles can be applied
to preparing for marriage, and can share his tips for
“marriage fitness” that can help newly and long-married
couples to keep their bonds strong, and enable their
unions to last. “I had a series at my church that
taught people how to get ready for marriage,” he says.
“People rarely take the time to determine their role in
a marriage. This is why there are so many divorces.”
Eric should know. He is a divorced single dad to two
young boys who has learned from his mistakes, and he
can share how to navigate the pitfalls he and his ex-
wife had to overcome. Eric is the second-generation
pastor of Daystar Deliverance Ministries in Richardson,
Texas, and the author of the upcoming book “Are You
Ready for Marriage?” Contact him at
EHawthorne@rtirguests.com; (214) 225-0769.

17. ==> This Scientist Says He Can Prove That God
Exists

While science and religion have long been considered
mutually exclusive, David L. Peters credits both for
his good fortune in his life. At 84, he has achieved
great prominence in his career as an engineer, holds 18
patents, raised seven great kids and has enjoyed a
loving marriage of 57 years. In addition, he has just
become a first-time author of a well-received book that
reveals the secrets to success and happiness. “My faith
comes through science, as I firmly believe that quantum
physics has proven the existence of a power or force
beyond all,” he says. David has accomplished this by
applying the 12 Steps of Alcoholic Anonymous to his
daily life, which he says can help anyone, even if they
never touched liquor or drugs. He can share simple but
powerful ways how others can, too. David L. Peters is
the author of “The 12 Steps to Joy and Happiness:
Finding the Kingdom of God that Lies Within”. Contact
him at DPeters@rtirguests.com; (607) 304-3329.

18. ==> How to Make the Toughest Decisions

Have you ever had to make a tough decision? Like
whether to leave a job? Get out of a relationship? Or
what medical treatment to pursue? It can leave you
feeling scared, lonely, and frozen with fear. Terrie
Novak is an expert at decision-making, or as she likes
to call it, “choice-making”. As a systems analyst, she
does it every day at work for her customers so when she
was faced with a scary diagnosis and an even scarier
treatment option, she decided (after freaking out) to
apply what she does at work to help her make some
important decisions. Terrie will share her powerful
story and explain how her three-step decision making
process makes any decision easier to make. Terrie Novak
works in software engineering as a systems analyst. Her
unique framework for “choice-making” can be applied to
decisions of any kind. Her book, “Hypothesis: An HPV
Healing Experiment”, outlines a three-step process she
created to help heal herself. Contact Terrie at (503)

19. ==> Been-there Expert Helps Audiences Heal after
Trauma

Tens of thousands of people are now dealing with the
aftermath of deadly weather, destructive fires, mass
shootings. fatal accidents and losing loved ones. Even
those of us not personally endangered by such horrors
or violence feel rattled when hearing how others have
suffered. Interview natural health/wellness expert and
chiropractor Lynn Migdal, D.C., on finding inner
strength as we recover or volunteer to help others. Ask
Dr. Migdal to explain how proper breathing can help one
get past trauma. She’ll also share her personal story
of loss after a killer mudslide struck her community,
and how PTSD can happen in daily life. Her books
include “Eternal Love Connections: A Mother’s Resilient
Grief Journey through Sudden Loss” and “Breathe for
Success.” Contact Dr. Migdal at drlynnmigdal@gmail.com

20. ==> Animal Communicator Tells All about Your Pet

Wouldn’t it be nice to know what is going through your
pet’s mind? If you had an animal communicator you could
turn to? Well, now you have one in Dawn Crystal. Dawn
has been healing people and animals over the air using
sound for 25 years and has been interviewed on the
radio more than 40 times; she has also been a guest on
major TV shows. Now it’s your turn to interview her and
maybe get some free advice about your own pet. For
instance, Dawn may be able to tell you why your dog is
feeling anxious, why your pet is sick but the
prescribed drugs aren’t working or why your pet just
destroyed your slippers. Contact her at (807) 907-6294;
