1. ==> Kavanaugh: Senators’ Bear Biggest Burden

As the Senate considers Dr. Christine Blasey Ford’s
accusation that Judge Brett Kavanaugh sexually
assaulted her 30 years ago, senators find themselves
asking a basic question familiar to all lawyers: Who
bears the burden of proof—the accuser or the accused?
Adam J. White says, “The greater burden is the one
borne by the Senate itself, which now must come to a
decision on Kavanaugh’s nomination, and do so in the
manner that will best promote transparency and fact-
finding in this nomination and all future nominations.”
White says, “If belated accusations without significant
evidence are enough to halt this nomination, then every
future Senate Judiciary Committee hearing to consider a
Supreme Court nomination will occur under a cloud of
uncertainty as to whether post-hearing accusations are
imminent. Adam J. White, a research fellow at the
Hoover Institution, and director of the Center for the
Study of the Administrative State at George Mason
University’s Antonin Scalia Law School, testified
before the Senate Judiciary Committee in favor of Judge
Kavanaugh’s nomination. Contact him at (212) 599-7000;

2. ==> The Problem with ‘Boys Will Be Boys’

According to Jill Filipovic, the #MeToo reckoning is
still coming — not just for the prominent men who use
their power to exploit others, but also for the boys
they once were. She says, “Teenage boyhood continues to
accept, sometimes even hinge on, misogyny and ill
treatment of girls — usually girls over whom boys have
relative social power. Then we wonder why those same
boys become the men who mistreat women, discriminate
against us in the workplace, or look the other way when
other men harass, bully or abuse us.” She adds, “We are
recognizing, finally, that misogynist men are made, not
born. The task, now, is to interrupt the making.
Whatever happens with the Kavanaugh nomination, one
hopes that this ugly turn through his teenage past will
at least help us to stop raising boys in this way.”
Jill Filipovic is a journalist based in New York and
Nairobi, Kenya, and the author of the book “The H-Spot:
The Feminist Pursuit of Happiness.” Contact her at

3. ==> Why Women Don’t Report Sexual Assault

Many people believe as Donald Trump does, that victims
of sexual assault or their parents would surely report
such incidents to the police. That’s just one of the
myths surrounding sexual assault that Dr. Jeanne Sanner
can bust at a time when the country’s attention is
riveted to the confirmation hearing for Supreme Court
nominee Brett Kavanaugh. When she was 19 and a virgin,
Dr. Sanner was raped by a stranger poolside at an out-
of-town motel where she was staying with a girlfriend.
She’ll explain her reasons for not reporting the crime
which led to pregnancy and reveal the most important
lesson she learned from being sexually abused. Dr.
Sanner has a doctorate in spiritual studies, a master’s
in education and a bachelor’s in psychology. She is the
author of “Finding Unconditional Love a Little Peace at
a Time.” Reach her at (949) 460-9450;

4. ==> What Parents Need to Know: The Dark Side of
College

Studies of American campus life indicate that between 3
percent and 8 percent of college women will report
being raped by the time they graduate and nearly a
quarter will experience some type of sexual assault.
Almost 700,000 college students—male and female—will be
assaulted by someone who has been drinking. About
100,000 will be sexually assaulted or raped while
someone is abusing alcohol. Samuel Staley, author of
“Unsafe On Any Campus? College Sexual Assault and What
We Can Do About It,” says while colleges and
universities ramp up their programming to help students
cope with such tragedies, parents are virtually ignored
in the discussion. He says parents need to become more
informed about modern campus life, especially its rocky
sexual terrain. “Most parents will be shocked to learn
how different the world their children are stepping
into is from their own experiences at the same age. The
hyper-sexualization of campus life, for example, has
relegated emotional intimacy to a post-sex thought. The
side effect has been to further marginalize women in
college culture.” Samuel Staley is a Research Fellow at
the Independent Institute and Director of the DeVoe L.
Moore Center in the College of Social Sciences at
Florida State University. Contact Robert Ade at (510)

5. ==> Trump on Iran: Who’s the Terrorist?

Donald Trump, speaking about Iran at the UN this week,
said, “We cannot allow the world’s leading sponsor of
terrorism to possess the planet’s most dangerous
weapons.” But Beau Grosscup says, “In Trump’s speech,
as is often the case from U.S. government
pronouncements, the emphasis is on counter-terrorism
with Saudis. Among other things, this ignores how U.S.
and Saudi policies have enabled groups like ISIS and al
Qaeda. We saw this same ‘us vs. them’ approach in the
State Department ‘report on terrorism’ that was just
released last week. Particularly notable was Trump
painting the Saudis as part of the solution in the
Yemen war when they have been unleashing horrific
bombing in that country with catastrophic results.” He
adds, “The demonization of Iran was particularly ironic
given that civilians were just killed in what would
ordinarily be called a terrorist attack there.”
Grosscup is emeritus professor at California State
University, Chico. His books include “The Newest
Explosions of Terrorism” and “Strategic Terror: The
Politics and Ethics of Aerial Bombardment.” Contact him

6. ==> Can the U.S. Win This Weekend’s Ryder Cup?

The best golfers from the USA and Europe will face off
this weekend at the 89th Ryder Cup at Le Golf National
in France. Will the team of U.S. golfers which includes
Brooks Koepka, Dustin, Johnson, Justin Thomas, and
Tiger Woods prevail, taking the cup for the first time
on European soil in 25 years? Interview Andre Huu for
some insight on that topic as well as whether Tiger
Woods will continue his inspiring comeback and what the
game of golf can teach anyone about resilience and
living life to the fullest. Huu is a former physical
therapist and golf enthusiast who has written “The
Round of Your Life.” Reach him at (832) 418-8860;

7. ==> Saturday is National Ghost Hunting Day!

What’s it like growing up in family homes surrounded by
ghosts and their stories? Interview Ivan Obolensky and
find out! Ivan’s rich personal history includes his
grandfather Serge Obolensky – the famed ‘Prince of New
York’, and his grandmother Alice (of Astor fame), who
died holding an Egyptian book of the dead on her chest.
Convinced that people live on after death, she proved
it by scaring off governesses and attracting a large
number of black cats that kept returning to her home on
61st Street in NYC even after extermination was tried.
The family home was finally exorcised. Ivan’s
grandfather, Serge, had his own ghost stories to tell
including one about a Captain, supposedly recovering
from TB in the Crimea, appeared to Serge’s mother and a
butler at the family country home many miles away… and
then vanished before their eyes! They later learned he
was already dead. Ivan Obolensky is an author and a
true Renaissance man in his own right. His novel “Eye
of the Moon” won Best First Book (Fiction) in the
IRDA’s. Contact Ivan at (818) 662-9731;

8. ==> HBO’s ‘The Deuce’ – Meet the Princess of 42nd
Street

HBO’s acclaimed series The Deuce is back! The show is
set in New York’s Times Square when pornography,
prostitutes and drugs were rampant. Romola Hodas says
watching the series with an actor playing her dad is
surreal; like watching her life play out on TV! Romola
s father was known as Times Square’s King of Porn. He
almost single-handedly developed Times Square into New
York’s hub of pornography and adult entertainment in
the 60s through the 80s, when peep shows and live sex
acts lined the streets. As the oldest daughter of
Martin Hodas, Romola grew up in a chaotic whirlwind of
swingers, mental illness, drugs and organized crime. At
the same time, she was also protecting her three
siblings from a mother with bipolar and personality
disorder. Invite her on your show and hear how she
survived two attempted kidnappings, took family
vacations with mobsters, and what she thinks about the
series. Listeners can even win a copy of her book “The
Princess of 42nd Street surviving my childhood as the
Daughter of Times Square’s King of Porn.” Contact
Romola Hodas at (917) 863-1533; Harmony@Romola.com

9. ==> Are Natural Disasters Occurring More Frequently?

Devastating wildfires. Damaging hurricanes. Major

10. ==> The Best Kept Secret in Your Insurance Policy

Most people buy insurance from a friendly agent at a
specific time and for a specific purpose… but did you
know that 90% of all policies lapse before maturity? Or
that when you don’t need your policy any longer you
could sell it? For cash? Chances are you have no idea
the hidden cash value of your policy… or that you are
paying more than you should for the policy you have.
Interview David Kottler, the Insurance Doctor ™, about
these and other best kept secrets that insurance
companies don’t want you to know! He can explain what
you need to ask to figure out exactly what your policy
is worth. David is an attorney, entrepreneur, financial
planner and renowned speaker who combines his legal and
business experience with a passion for philanthropy.

wines that over-deliver for their bargain prices. For
example, he’ll reveal the consistently best-quality,
low-priced sparkling wine on the market, the perfection
of a spritzy, sassy ten-dollar quaff from the
hinterlands of northern Portugal and the joys of
Bordeaux Supérieur. Laughren says you don’t need to
spend a fortune to find wines that are often overlooked
or dismissed by wine snobs. His approachable take on
wine will encourage everyone in your audience—even the
bargain-hunters—to chuckle and experiment more. His
mantra: “It’s not a bargain if it’s lousy; it’s a deal

12. ==> What’s it Like to Work for a Narcissist?

Imagine what it would be like to work for someone who
lacks empathy, constantly lies and only views the world
through their own self-interest. Sharon Bahrych
(pronounced Bear-rich) was on the faculty of a new
physician assistant program led by a director who had a
borderline/narcissistic personality disorder. Nearly
everything the director said was a lie, Sharon reports,
and she made other people’s working lives hell. But as
Sharon will tell you, she now believes that God
intended for her to undergo this torment as a means to
bring needed change to the program and that God is
always in control even when bad things happen to us.
She’ll also share the amazing encounter she had five
years later that put the whole experience in
perspective for her. Sharon is a physician’s assistant
who trained at Baylor College of Medicine. She has a
master’s in public health from the University of Texas
School of Public Health. She is the author of
“Practical Disciplines of a Christian Life.” Reach her

13. ==> How to Use Procrastination to Your Advantage

Maybe it’s you, maybe it’s your kid. When faced with a
decision or assignment, you wait until the last
possible moment to act. Procrastination can turn into
the enemy, but Mariann Adams will show you how to use
it to your advantage! She’ll explain the neuroscience
behind procrastination and how we’re all hard-wired to
do it, as well as how it affects ability and self-
esteem. She says, “Procrastination is a form of
performance anxiety. It isn’t a defect, it actually
means the brain and body are working as they should.
And procrastination isn’t overcome by force; it’s
overcome by a core understanding of how the body and
brain work, and using it to one’s advantage.” Mariann
Adams, MS, NCTM, has decades of experience as a teacher
and performer, has presented internationally, and is
experienced with radio and TV. She has done extensive
research on the psychological, physiological,
neurological, and interpersonal aspects of anxiety
elimination. She’s the author of “Boost Core Power and
Bust Anxiety” and “The Core Power Pro-Launch Pad.”

14. ==> This M.D. Can Cure Autism and ADHD in 30 Days

While the majority of medical professionals believe
that there is no cure for autism, Dr. Rajalakshmi
Kandaswamy strongly disagrees. In fact, she has helped
hundreds of children with non-verbal autism and ADHD,
without ever meeting them in person! She accomplishes
this through her unique remote healing method called
Intent Healing™. “I am the only autism expert and
expert in nonverbal autism who is a medical doctor and
a healer who is helping nonverbal autistic children
from all over the world communicate through speech in
10 (or less) remote healing sessions, without meeting
or seeing any of them in person,” she says. With over
25 years of experience in remote healing, she recently
was recognized by Buzzfeed as one of five professionals
in the world to watch out for in the autism arena. She
is the author of the book “How to Heal Autism and ADHD
in 30 Days: The Phenomenally Powerful Breakthrough of
Intent Healing,” and a graduate of India’s premier
medical college C.M.C Vellore. Contact her at

15. ==> Beer … and Other Surprising Sources of Stress

Do your favorite foods include cheese, beer, and French
fries? Would it surprise you to learn that these foods
might also lead you to experience more stress? It’s
true, says Gillian Padgett, a psychotherapist,
hypnotherapist and stress expert who has studied the
interplay of nutrition and stress for 25 years. Gillian
can share the surprising ways the foods we eat can add
to our stress, put us in a foul mood and even affect us
days after we eat them! In addition to sharing the five
foods that add to our stress, she can also reveal her
list of foods that lend themselves to calmness. She’ll
also explain why you need to pay special attention to
food additives if you are concerned about mitigating
stress. Gillian is the author of “Let Stress Heal Your
Life.” Reach her at (647) 270-7602;

16. ==> Mental Health Day is Oct. 10: What is Emotional
Conditioning?

Psychiatrist Christine Adams says emotional dysfunction
and illness are far more widespread than mental
illness, even though the two are frequently lumped
together. She explains, “Most of us have emotional
distress and upheaval on a continuum from mild to
severe. Compare that to the one to three percent of
people who have mental illnesses such as schizophrenia,
bipolar disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder, and
autism. What the rest of us suffer are problems arising
from our emotional conditioning that create
relationship conflict, not from brain pathology.” Dr.
Adams says we experience emotional illnesses in the
form of anxiety, depression, sleep problems, eating
disorders, substance abuse, and psychosomatic aches and
pains. Invite her to discuss the ways we are
emotionally conditioned in childhood and why it leads
many people to live life on autopilot. Christine Adams,
M.D., is a child, adolescent, and adult psychiatrist
who has been a guest on numerous radio shows and
stations across the country. She is co-author with the
late Homer B. Martin, M.D., of the new book “Living on
Automatic: How Emotional Conditioning Shapes Our Lives
and Relationships.” Contact her at (502) 473-0093;

17. ==> What Your Parents Never Taught You About
Overcoming Adversity

When you were young, did your parents protect you by
attempting to fix your problems? Did they encourage you
to keep smiling and suppress any painful emotions? If
so, they may not have realized their kids could face a
lifetime of pain from all the emotional baggage they’ve
been carrying around. “Parents may say, ‘Don’t
embarrass me, make me proud, you’re an adult now,’ but
never fully deal with the emotions behind each of those
statements,” Dr. Dee Carroll says. As a result, when
teens go off to college or move away, they’re likely to
run into problems they don’t know how to handle. “It’s
not until they get to a point of no return that they
reach out. At this point, they are knee deep in
adversity and never got the memo on how to deal with
it.” Dr. Dee urges parents to start early in teaching
their kids how to face adversity and stop hiding from
their emotions. She can also share her story of how she
overcame insurmountable odds using her ‘freedom’
technique. She is a speaker, coach, management
consultant and the author of “Emotional Emancipation:
Step into Your Freedom, Reinvent Your Challenges and
Move Beyond.” Contact her at (301) 587-0700;

18. ==> Tips to Get Boys Talking

For countless parents, the question “what happened in
school today?” is met by a grunt or a terse “nothing.”
This is especially true when parents ask their sons for
an update. Diane Auten is an expert on communicating
with boys and the parent of two sons. She can explain
the gold mine of information parents can glean by
driving their sons and their friends to school and
other activities and the ways communicating with sons
differs from communicating with daughters. She can also
share funny stories from her book, about common,
relatable things that happen to boys at school. Diane
Auten is the author “The Joys of Raising Boys: the
Good, the Bad, and the Hilarious.” A professor and
communication expert, she wrote down the crazy
questions her sons Bradley and Nate asked in the first
ten years of their lives and recorded the conversations
that ensued after she answered them. Diane frequently
speaks to parents about communicating more effectively
with their kids. Reach her at (805) 440-6532;
