1. ==> Live from New York – Trump Addresses UN

Heads of state, including Donald Trump, are scheduled
to begin addressing the UN General Assembly Today.
Tomorrow, with the U.S. as the rotating president of
the UN Security Council this month, Trump is
scheduled to chair a meeting of the Council. Invite
John Paul, author of the new book “Of Foxes and
Chickens: Oligarchy and Power in the UN Security
Council” to discuss what is expected to go on. “The
biggest question will be whether Trump will use the
opportunity to announce new sanctions or even military
operations against Iran. Rumor has it that Washington
is pressing NATO and other allies to join
it, Israel and Saudi Arabia in a coalition of the
willing to overthrow the perfidious mullahs and restore
democracy to Iran.” He adds, “For Trump in particular,
it is a chance to reach for global
grandiosity, to rail against foreign enemies, to
‘disrupt’ the status quo and to bask in the limelight
of the frenzied news media.” John Paul is also author
of “Syria Unmasked” and was executive director
of Global Policy Forum, a think tank that monitors the
UN, for nearly 20 years. He was a longtime editor of
the Oxford Companion to Politics of the World and
executive director of the Middle East Research
and Information Project. Contact him at
james.paul.nyc@gmail.com

2. ==> Lock Up Cosby & Throw Away Celebrity Role Models

Bill Cosby’s sentencing hearing began yesterday and
we’re once again forced to watch a hero’s very public
fall from grace. Regardless of Cosby’s legal sentence,
John Huber, Ph.D., says millions who grew up
watching The Cosby Show thinking of Bill Cosby as a
pseudo-surrogate father – will feel shock and betrayal
again. “These days it seems to happen far too often
that beloved personas and role models are
revealed to have reprehensible skeletons in their
closets. Who is really who they say they are? Can
anyone be trusted to set the right example?” The
lesson, Huber says, is “Children and adults don’t have
to turn on the TV to find an adequate role model and
they don’t have to search far and wide. They just have
to live their lives with honor and integrity and they
will become a role model unto themselves.”
Dr. John Huber is a clinical forensic psychologist and
the chairman for Mainstream Mental Health, a non-profit
mental health organization. Dr. Huber has appeared on
hundreds of radio shows and dozens of
national television programs. Contact Ryan McCormick at
(516) 901-1103; (919) 377-1200.

3. ==> Why Women Don’t Report Sexual Assault

Many people believe as Donald Trump does, that victims
of sexual assault or their parents would surely report
such incidents to the police. That’s just one of the
myths surrounding sexual assault that Dr.
Jeanne Sanner can bust at a time when the country’s
attention is riveted to the confirmation hearing for
Supreme Court nominee Brett Kavanaugh. When she was 19
and a virgin, Dr. Sanner was raped by a
stranger poolside at an out-of-town motel where she was
staying with a girlfriend. She’ll explain her reasons
for not reporting the crime which led to pregnancy and
reveal the most important lesson she
learned from being sexually abused. Dr. Sanner has a
doctorate in spiritual studies, a master’s in education
and a bachelor’s in psychology. She is the author of
“Finding Unconditional Love a Little Peace
at a Time.” Reach her at (949) 460-9450;
jeannesanner@yahoo.com

4. ==> Is Trump’s Robust Economy All ‘Smoke and
Mirrors’?

President Donald Trump says we have “the best economy
ever!” Professor Kenneth Barnes begs to differ. Author
of “Redeeming Capitalism”, Barnes refers to our current
economic system as ‘postmodern
capitalism’, and argues that we have created a system
devoid of a moral compass and resistant, if not
impervious to ethical constraint. “Built on mountains
of debt and driven by greed and excess, we are
repeating the sins of the recent past,” he claims.
Rejecting utopian alternatives, however, Dr. Barnes
argues instead for ‘virtuous capitalism’- an economic
system with all of the wealth-generating
possibilities of the capitalism, plus the wider social
benefits of the capitalism we desire. Prior to his
academic career, Kenneth Barnes spent many years as a
senior international executive for multiple
multibillion dollar companies. He currently teaches at
Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary. Contact Jason
Jones at (512) 720-2996; Jason@jonesliterary.com

5. ==> What You Don’t Know about Prince in the
Recording Studio: Told by Those Who Knew Him Best

The wait is over for Prince fans eagerly awaiting his
new album, ‘Piano & A Microphone 1983.’ The previously
unreleased material is finally available and contains
nine songs including a new version of
“Purple Rain,” “Strange Relationship” and a cover of
Joni Mitchell’s “A Case of You.” Award winning author
Duane Tudahl interviewed more than 40 band members,
singers, and engineers chronicling Prince’s
time in the studio during 1983 and 1984. He’ll share an
intimate look at Prince Rogers Nelson as told by those
admitted into his fiercely private inner circle. From
the recording studio to his days on
tour, you’ll learn why Prince was so protective of his
material, how his music reflected his innermost
thoughts and emotions, and the 3 very important keys to
Prince’s incredible success. Duane Tudahl is a
long-time documentary director and producer in the
entertainment industry and a former stand-up comic. An
expanded paperback version of his best-selling book,
“Prince and the Purple Rain Era Studio
Sessions: 1983 and 1984,” which includes details about
hundreds of his recording sessions, is set for release
in this fall. Contact him at (818) 726-8638 (CA);

6. ==> Real Life Russian Spy Story

With the news this year of Sergei Skripal’s poisoning
in Salisbury, England, as revenge for spying for the
West, as well as the ongoing revelations about Russia’s
interference in democratic elections here
and abroad, invite historian Roland Philipps to share a
real life Russian spy story from 1951. You’ll hear
about British diplomat turned Russian spy Donald
Maclean, one of the most notorious spies ever
discovered in the British government. Maclean was a
member of the infamous “Cambridge Five” espionage ring,
a group of young ideologues who believed Communism was
the only path to world peace. While a
respected diplomat at the head of the American
Department in Britain’s Foreign Office he was also
transmitting diplomatic and military secrets to the
USSR. Roland Philipps is the grandson of Sir Roger
Makins – a British Foreign Officer and the last person
to see Maclean before he fled to the Soviet Union. “A
Spy Named Orpha: The Enigma of Donald Maclean” is his
new book. Contact Johanna Ramos-Boyer at

7. ==> Getting Back to Business after a Hurricane

Hurricane Florence not only destroyed homes throughout
the Carolinas, it also battered thousands of businesses
in the region. Donna Childs, a former reinsurance
executive, can explain what businesses now
face after the massive storm, where they can turn for
help, and how business owners, just like home owners,
should plan for disasters. Donna’s been honored by the
American Red Cross for her volunteer work
helping small businesses in the Gulf Coast states
recover from Hurricanes Katrina, Gustav and Ike. She’s
dealt with disasters around the world and at Ground
Zero, where her business and home were based on
9/11. Donna has appeared on local and national radio
and TV programs and is the author of “Prepare for the
Worst, Plan for the Best: Disaster Preparedness and
Recovery for Small Businesses,” Contact her at

8. ==> How to Grow Your Business Without Working on
Your Business

Are you working hard? Or working smart? Growing a
business can feel like a daunting task. What most
people don’t realize is that they aren’t focusing on
what will yield long-term success. It’s not what you
say or how you present. It’s not what you look like,
what you wear or your posture. The most critical
success factor you bring to the table is the inner
VALUE you represent. Founder of ThroughConversation
Personal Development Inc., Jean-Paul Gravel will
provide insight on how people perceive your real
“value”. Your audience will learn practical tools for
how to raise their value in the eyes of everyone
around them. He’ll take them through 3 simple steps
which will completely raise their confidence,
conviction and persuasiveness. Gravel has spent 15
years showing people from all walks of life including
high achievers, entrepreneurs and pro athletes how to
unlock their own deep-seated power and potential to
experience extraordinary results in business and life.

9. ==> How to Sell Your Story or Idea to Hollywood

Do you have an idea for a story that you’ve always
thought would be perfect for television? Well now you
can find out! Invite award-winning screenwriter,
author, TV/film producer, journalist, and TV host
Maryann Ridini Spencer to reveal what it takes to write
a great screenplay that audiences will love. She’ll
explain what resonates with audiences and whether the
story you’ve always dreamt of writing would
make the cut with a major TV network. As a master of
storytelling from her award-winning novel “Lady in the
Window” to her top-rated Hallmark Hall of Fame (CBS-TV)
movie The Lost Valentine starring Betty
White and Jennifer Love Hewitt, she knows how to craft
a story that audiences will love. Her work has also
appeared on the Hallmark Channel, CNN, USA, SyFy,
Showtime, PBS, and many others. Her next novel,
“The Paradise Table,” is set to be released in early
2019. Contact her at (818) 884-0104 (CA);

10. ==> Confessions of a Badass Widow

After the death of her long-time husband and business
partner, Katherine Webster faced financial ruin,
loneliness, trauma and many other overwhelming
challenges. But, she says, she made a choice and
learned the lesson of a lifetime; a life lived without
danger is meaningless. “I turned my awful circumstances
into a situation where I became more vibrant, fearless,
confident, successful… and younger!”
Katherine will share three key questions that can help
redefine life after a tragedy: “Who am I now? What
weaknesses are holding me back, and how can I conquer
them? How can I reinvent myself to be who I
truly choose to be?” She’ll also share simple yet
powerful tools for rebuilding your life and becoming
more youthful and passionate about living after the
death of a spouse, or virtually any personal
tragedy. “Personal tragedy allows you the luxury most
other people will never have: an opportunity to enjoy
the self-indulgent business of completely re-inventing
yourself as whatever or whomever you
choose to be.” She is the author of “Becoming Madam
Widow.” Contact her at katherine@katherinewebster.com

11. ==> How to Get the Best Medical Care: When Should
You Get a 2nd Opinion?

Are you really getting the best medical care? We like
to believe that when we’re being treated by a physician
or medical team that they know all the answers related
to our illness and treatment. But Nancy
Michaels, a patient satisfaction expert says patients
can no longer rely on the pros alone. “As consumers, we
need to claim control over our health and be sure we
understand what all of our options are
related to diagnosis and recommended treatment,” she
warns. Michaels, who regularly speaks to medical and
health-care audiences about ways to improve patient
satisfaction, engagement and the overall
patient experience, also delivers advice gleaned from
her own personal experience as a patient. In 2005, in
what seemed like an instant, she found herself in a
health crisis that nearly killed her twice.
She’ll explain what every patient should know when
seeking medical treatment including when—and how—to get
a 2nd opinion, how to research your condition and how
to access your doctor’s notes in your files.
Nancy Michaels provides inspirational speeches on such
topics as “Lessons Learned from Dying” to audiences
around the world. Her latest book is “Patient Speak, 7
Communication Practices to Improve Patient
and Family Experience.” Contact her at (617) 905-4711;

12. ==> TMI? When Artists Share Health Issues

Whether it’s Demi Lovato and addiction, Michael J. Fox
talking about Parkinson’s Disease or Selena Gomez
discussing Lupus, celebrities these days seem very
willing to publicly discuss their health issues.
Lisa Sniderman (Aoede), a pop singer/songwriter
herself, applauds their honesty and using their
notoriety to help educate and raise awareness about
chronic illness. She says sharing your journey is
powerful—and healing–for you and others who are
struggling. Lisa, who battles a rare, auto-immune
disease, has collaborated with more than 50 artists,
musicians, and authors who have turned to creativity
to heal to create a multimedia live/streaming event
‘Lights in the Darkness-Creating to Heal’ this
December. Lisa says, “My vision is to share how we’ve
become lights for others through our stories and
art, focused on the art of healing.” Lisa has been
honored with more than 50 awards and has been
considered multiple times for a GRAMMY. She is the
author of “A Light in the Darkness: Transcending
Chronic
Illness through the Power of Art and Attitude.” Contact
her at (415) 713-6193; aoede_muse@yahoo.com

13. ==> It’s Pain Awareness Month: Are You Starting to
Make Dad Sounds?

Oy! Do you find yourself making the same noises your
parents make when they get up from a chair or sit down?
If this sounds like you—or someone you know—you’ll want
to interview Anna Lee, M.D., a board-
certified pain management physician. During Pain
Awareness Month in September, Dr. Lee can answer such
questions as why are so many people walking around in
pain? Why do we sometimes wake up with numb
hands? Where does pain really originate? Why are so
many physicians so bad at treating pain? Anna Lee,
M.D., trained at Hahnemann and the University of
Pennsylvania and is the developer of an FDA-approved
pain treatment that draws clients from across the
country. Reach her at (201) 925-0315;

14. ==> How Being Disorganized Can Endanger Your Life

We have all heard how you can save money, time,
property and possessions by being more organized. But
wise vs. lackluster organization habits can even save
your life! That’s the message of RN/APRN (nurse
practitioner) and author Anne McAwley-LeDuc, who is
creating a new movement for maintaining personal health
history — a life-saving practice! With the release of
her critically acclaimed workbook
“Personal Health Organizer: Record Your Medical and
Dental History, Birth Through Life,” Anne is helping
people keep their health records, including: medical
conditions, surgeries, childhood health
history, orthopedic history, immunizations, allergies,
dental procedures and much more. After all, it’s really
easy to forget key health facts, to your peril,
especially with our busy lives that often
involve travel, moving, and establishing relationships
with new doctors/clinics/hospitals. Invite Anne to
discuss her strategies for staying “in the know” about
your health journey. Contact her at (860)

15. ==> Simple Remedies for Burnout and Compassion
Fatigue

Being a caregiver, whether professionally or within
your family, is a hazardous job currently held by some
43.5 million Americans. Sheila Collins, Ph.D., says the
stress not only puts caregivers at risk
for serious health problems, they’re also at risk for
burnout and compassion fatigue. “Self-care continues to
be all but neglected in the professional programs that
train people in helping careers and is
an essential skill for caregivers to master for their
own health.” Collins can explain why caregiving is so
dangerous, what healthy anger is and how to express it,
as well as some interesting trends in
caregiving. Collins and Christine Gautreaux, MSW, are
co-authors of “Stillpoint: A Self-Care Playbook for
Caregivers to Find Ease and Time to Breathe, and
Reclaim Joy.” Collins’ other books include
“Warrior Mother: Fierce Love, Unbearable Loss, and the
Rituals that Heal,” about her experience of providing
caregiving to her two adult children and her best
friend. Contact Sheila Collins at (817)

16. ==> Stop Blaming Social Media for Kids’ Depression

Social media has a firm hold on Americans, especially
kids and young adults. With rising rates of depression
and suicide among the same group, many wonder if
there’s a connection. Joffre McClung says there
is, but it’s not really the root of the problem. “The
issue isn’t so much the social media itself, it’s that
young people are constantly looking outside of
themselves for their worth, value and sense of
being good enough.” She’ll explain the many ways lack
of self-love affects our lives and share concrete ways
to take your power back from social media. You’ll hear
how parents can help kids develop their
own sense of self-love and why you should incorporate
five simple self-gratitude practices into your daily
life. Joffre McClung has appeared on numerous radio and
TV programs including CBS TV-Austin TX,
Hay House Radio and The Joe Franklin Show. A former
media producer, independent filmmaker, and author,
Joffre takes the esoteric and brings it back down to
earth with a big dose of common sense. Her latest
book is “The Heart of the Matter.” Contact her at (917)

17. ==> Why Kids Who Hate School Are Often Smarter than
Everyone Else

You would think that the students in school who are
making the highest grades would be the ones who love
learning the most. “Not so!” says Lee Jenkins, author
and former school administrator. “Those
students have figured out it’s nothing more than a
game, a game that they play and that they win.” The
game is the “cram it and forget it game” – which some
students really excel at. Ever since grade 1
spelling they know to study for that Friday quiz and
then they can forget it… because it will most likely
never be seen again. Lee was determined to come up with
a different way to organize learning… a
different way to look at learning and encouraging our
kids so that how they learn in the classroom keeps the
joy of learning alive – he calls it “the intrinsic
motivation” that every kindergartener brings
with them on the first day of school. Lee Jenkins,
author of “Permission to Forget”, is currently working
on his next book “The Perfect School.” He consults and
writes full-time with his firm LtoJ
Consulting Group, Inc. Contact him at (800) 559-9798;

18. ==> Is Our Rude Way of Treating One Another Bad for
Children?

These days, nothing’s more American than telling it
like it is – but author Wade Meadows says people are
too blunt, even brutal with each other, all in defiance
of this thing called “political
correctness.” A survivor of verbal and physical abuse,
Wade will reveal the lasting damage harsh, nasty
language does to children and grown-ups, and discuss
the power of words to build up or break down our
relationships. Wade can be reached at (225) 397-0785;
bhchism50@yahoo.com

20. ==> How to Make Small Talk with a Trump Supporter

You arrive at your new friend’s party only to discover
they and all of their friends are fervent Trump
supporters. And you despise Trump! This could be your
worst nightmare. But rather than engaging in a
shouting match, find out what it is they love about
Trump, which of his policies speak the most to them,
and why. Understanding could be the key to bridging
the great divide in America at the moment. So
says author and environmental engineer Yasmin Davar,
who can demonstrate how healing negative beliefs and
destructive thought patterns on the individual level
can lead to sustainable peace, prosperity and
happiness for the entire world. Yasmin holds a Master
of International Studies in Peace and Conflict
Resolution and the author of the book “Our Peaceful
Planet: Healing Ourselves and the World for a
Sustainable Future.” Contact her at
