1. ==> Trump & Fox News: Too Close to State TV

The current occupant of the White House is certainly
not the first to have a close relationship with the
media, but Nicole Hemmer says the relationship between
Donald Trump and Fox News is distinctly different,
bringing the channel closer to state television than
anything the United States has ever known. She says,
“Despite all the ways journalists and presidents have
coordinated in the past, none comes even close to the
symbiosis between Fox News and Donald Trump. Not even
Fox News has been so in bed with a White House before.”
She adds, “While the channel has always been firmly
Republican — Roger Ailes was an adviser to Republican
presidents from Richard Nixon to George H.W. Bush
before launching Fox News — it did not have the
wholesale influence over George W. Bush that it has
over Trump—and vice versa.” Hemmer believes the
relationship is blurring the lines between news and
propaganda and inflicting harm on democratic norms.
Nicole Hemmer is an expert on the history of American
politics and media. She is an assistant professor in
presidential studies at the Miller Center at the
University of Virginia and the author of “Messengers of
the Right: Conservative Media and the Transformation of
American Politics.” She hosts the history podcast “Past
Present”. Contact her at (434) 924-6056;

2. ==> Trump is Right: CNN is Biased!

President Trump loves to tweet about CNN’s biased
reporting—particularly against him. Nita Wiggins will
tell you why Trump’s viewpoint now has an unusual ally:
black journalists who are calling out the network for
its bias in promoting them. Nita can talk about the
charges leveled against CNN by the largest group of
black journalists in the U.S.–the National Association
of Black Journalists (NABJ). Nita will say the charges
represent yet another hit on the credibility of news
organizations. During her 21 years as a TV reporter and
anchor, Nita witnessed bias against black reporters and
female reporters from Augusta, Georgia to Seattle,
Washington, to Dallas, Texas. Nita is a member of the
NABJ who teaches journalism in Paris, France. In her
upcoming book, “Civil Rights Baby: My Story of Race,
Sports, and Breaking Barriers in American Journalism,”
she writes about the unfairness that happens off-camera
in TV stations. Contact her at NWiggins@rtirguests.com

3. ==> Women’s History Month: Narcissa Prentiss Whitman

For a fascinating show that touches on women’s history
and our current polarized society, invite Debra
Gwartney to share the story of Narcissa Prentiss
Whitman, the first European-American missionary to
cross the Rocky Mountains and arrive at Fort Walla
Walla, Washington in 1836. Gwartney will discuss the
similarities between the pioneer women of the 1840s and
her own situation growing up in the 1950s, and the
unprecedented polarization – present then and now –
that has become part of our communities. She’ll
explore issues facing many Americans today, including:
If you question the political beliefs you were raised
with, are you still welcome at home? Where do you
belong? How can Americans be true to their beliefs –
Conservative or Progressive — and still feel they
belong in the communities they love? A professor at
Pacific University, Debra Gwartney is the author of “I
am a Stranger Here Myself”. She grew up in Salmon,
Idaho and now lives on the upper McKenzie River on the
west slope of the Cascade Mountains in Oregon just
outside Eugene. Contact Johanna Ramos Boyer at (703)
646-5137; (703) 400-1099 (cell); johanna@jrbcomm.com or
Erin Bolden at (703) 646-5188.

4. ==> It’s Sleep Awareness Week! Test Your Listeners’
Sleep IQ

Will your listeners know what a messy bedroom has to do
with poor sleep? If watching an action-adventure pic
before bed is a good idea? Can they name the best thing
to keep by their bed in case they wake up in the middle
of the night? They will learn all that when you
interview career wellness educator Adita Yrizarry-Lang
for National Sleep Awareness Week which began March
10th. One-third of all Americans desperately need this
information because they are not getting enough
shuteye. Adita is a 30-year wellness educator who has
been quoted in Shape and Fitness. She is the author of
“SuperPowers.” Contact her at (305) 874-0268;
AYrizarry@rtirguests.com

5. ==> Interview the Beach Boys’ Guardian Who Saved
Brian Wilson’s Life

Beach Boys fans have long known of brilliant yet
troubled Brian Wilson’s slide into the abyss of drugs
and mental illness. But what a lot of them don’t know
is how former NFL player “Rocky” Pamplin helped to save
him from himself. Rocky was college roommates with Stan
Love, brother of Beach Boys’ lead singer Mike Love. In
the mid-1970s, Stan and Rocky were hired to be full-
time bodyguards for Brian Wilson. “Brian was a 315-
pound recluse who was a paranoid schizophrenic,” Rocky
says. “Stan said, ‘Don’t think you are going to meet a
clean cut Beach Boy.’ He was scary.” While much has
been written about Rocky, Stan and their tumultuous
two-and-a-half years with Brian, this is the first time
that Rocky has come forward to reveal the behind-the-
scene details of his relationship with the Beach Boys.
He is the co-author of the book “The Beach Boys Endless
Wave: Inside America’s Band”, along with film producer,
writer and director Ron Hamady. Contact Mike Vezo at
mvezo@mac.com; (310) 406-8300.

6. ==> You’ve Got 8 Seconds: Communication Secrets for
a Distracted World

When you talk, do others really pay attention?
Probably not, warns communication expert Paul Hellman.
Whether you’re presenting to a large audience, meeting
one-on-one, talking on the phone, or even sending an
email, people’s attention spans have almost vanished.
So you’ve got to engage others fast, before they tune
you out … maybe forever. Hellman will reveal specific
tactics to get heard in a noisy world, with deft
examples from the news and from clients he has worked
with. Hellman’s columns and advice have appeared in the
New York Times, Wall Street Journal, CNBC.com and on
public radio’s Marketplace and CNN’s Business Unusual.
He is the author of “You’ve Got 8 Seconds:
Communication Secrets for a Distracted World”. Contact
him at (508) 879-0934; paul@expresspotential.com

7. ==> How to Choose, Carry and Shoot a Gun in Self-
Defense

All it takes is yet another shocking news story about
people attacked in their homes or in public to motivate
countless law-abiding citizens to consider gun
ownership for protection. Bring Chris Bird on your show
to educate audiences about the types, sizes and
features of firearms for self-defense that can save
lives and safeguard property, while also neutralizing
criminals. Chris is a sought-after expert on gun rights
and personal protection, whose best-selling books
include “Surviving a Mass Killer Rampage” and “The
Concealed Handgun Manual” (new edition). As your guest,
Chris will reveal which requisite skills, safety
practices, and methods of observation help you avoid
trouble and be safer, no matter where you and your
family are. Chris (with 30+ years of firearm experience
and safety usage) will share amazing stories of people
who said “Thank God I had a gun!” plus must-know truths
about surviving, halting and even preventing mass
killings, home invasions, muggings and rapes. Contact
Chris Bird at (210) 686-4440; cbird@rtirguests.com

8. ==> Could You or Your Kid Have a Concussion and Not
Know it?

“Yes!” says Dr. Paul Wand. “And with spring sports
around the corner many parents are wondering how to
keep their kids safe from sports injuries – mostly
concussion-related.” Many parents don’t realize that
even some non-contact sports can cause concussions in
kids like swimming, basketball, volleyball, wrestling,
soccer, baseball, mixed martial arts and even
cheerleading! Interview Dr. Wand, a neurologist who
specializes in concussions and how to diagnose and
treat them more quickly and more easily. He’ll explain
to your listeners how your child, or you for that
matter, could have a concussion and have no idea. How
is this possible? Dr. Wand says symptoms relating to
the concussion don’t show up until months or years
later. And for about 20% of the population who actually
go to the ER and undergo CT or MRI scans, they’re told
they are perfectly fine when in reality, they aren’t.
Paul Wand, MD, PA has been a medical doctor for 35
years specializing in the field of Neurology. Contact
him at (954) 743-5380; PWand@rtirguests.com

keys or spacing-out on names, trivia and historical
facts. Can you always claim “temporary senior moment”
or being distracted? Or should you be concerned about

An 18-year-old dies of fatty liver disease while a 55-
year-old woman’s stage 4 cancer disappears. How are

to keto and everything in between. Over 100 million
Americans are very sick – and Reena Jadhav used to be

12. ==> Interview the ‘Don Quixote’ of Health Care
Reform

Dr. Ira Williams often calls himself the “Don Quixote”
of health care reform. At 85 years young he has been
hounding the five Federal agencies created to solve the
health care crisis in this country for decades. With
over 130 years collectively between those agencies, our
health care system is still a mess and medical errors
leading to deaths in hospitals continues to rise. As
the oldest medical malpractice expert witness in the
country he knows what he’s talking about. He has
developed a system to empower local grassroots
activists in each state to radically change our health
care delivery system. “Everyone is focusing on how to
pay for health care… when the delivery system is what’s
really broken!” Dr. Williams will tell you why each
state is responsible for our nation’s healthcare
delivery system, what the 3-phase process is that we
need to implement to create a 21st century healthcare
delivery system, and how to organize state wide
grassroots activists that will challenge the current
system and WIN! Dr. Ira Williams is an author, an
experienced surgeon, medical malpractice expert
witness, and an expert in how to improve our healthcare
delivery system. His latest book is “Healthcare
Warriors, Why and How to Become One.” Contact Dr.
Williams at (864) 479-8613; IWilliams@rtirguests.com

13. ==> Smart Tip: Use Life Insurance to Pay Health
Bills

With the state of health care today many people live in
fear that a life-threatening illness could wipe out
their savings, creating a financial maelstrom from
which their family would never recover. Did you know
that if you qualify, you could receive up to 75% of
your death benefits in cash? David Kottler, also known
as the Insurance Doctor ™, will explain how selling off
that life insurance policy you or your loved one
doesn’t need anymore can generate the cash to pay
medical bills, get out of debt or even make a cash gift
to the non-profit of their choice! How is this
possible? Most people don’t know the little-known
secret that when you don’t need your policy any longer
you can auction it off! Find out how! David combines
his legal and business experience with a passion for
philanthropy. His book “The Best Kept Money Secret in
Your Insurance Policy” details everything your audience
needs to know about how to get that insurance policy
working for them! Contact David at (216) 532-1221;

15. ==> From Hippies to #MeToo — What You Never Knew

People everywhere experience times of personal
challenge, relationship issues with loved ones, and
powerful social change. And they could all use advice
and been-there insights from someone who understands.
Audiences will therefore thank you for interviewing
psychologist Pratibha Eastwood, whose real-life journey
both personal and professional includes decades of
cultural upheaval and several wars. Learn from Pratibha
what it was like to be a fearful child sent to boarding
schools at a very young age — during some of the worst
of the Israeli-Palestinian Conflict. What do few
Americans know about such Middle Eastern crises? Ask
Pratibha (and invite callers) to explore: what led her
to experiment with drugs, live in a commune, and become
a real “hippie?” How could she finally forgive her
neglectful parents? What are her opinions about the
#MeToo Movement? And how did Pratibha’s adventurous
side help her spiritual journey of turning lemon into
lemonade? How did she experiment with love as a
successful survival technique, while traveling to
unknown far-away places? Contact Pratibha at (808)

16. ==> Get ‘Marriage Fit’ Before Walking Down the
Aisle

When we want to get into top physical shape, we adjust
our diets and lifestyles and hit the gym. Pastor Eric
Hawthorne says that the same principles can be applied
to preparing for marriage, and can share his tips for
“marriage fitness” that can help newly and long-married
couples to keep their bonds strong, and enable their
unions to last. “I had a series at my church that
taught people how to get ready for marriage,” he says.
“People rarely take the time to determine their role in
a marriage. This is why there are so many divorces.”
Eric should know. He is a divorced single dad to two
young boys who has learned from his mistakes, and he
can share how to navigate the pitfalls he and his ex-
wife had to overcome. Eric is the second-generation
pastor of Daystar Deliverance Ministries in Richardson,
Texas, and the author of the upcoming book “Are You
Ready for Marriage?” Contact him at
EHawthorne@rtirguests.com; (214) 225-0769.

17. ==> Why Gillette’s #MeToo Ad Infuriates Men

When the Gillette Razor ad that invokes the #MeToo
movement first aired, its focus on bullying and toxic
masculinity created a huge controversy and angered a
lot of men, particularly older ones. “Society has
changed a lot in the last few decades,” says Curt
Lindsley, founder of the nonprofit domestic violence
awareness organization Go Purple USA. “A lot of baby
boomers grew up in a sexist culture. Women are taking
over jobs traditionally held by males. Some no doubt
were up in arms about the ad because the macho,
insensitive guy stereotyped may have hit a little too
close to home.” This is just one of the many factors
that contributes to domestic violence. Curt can share
how community groups, nonprofits and society overall
can get involved to stop this epidemic. In addition to
his work with Go Purple USA, sponsor of Go Purple
Awareness Day (Oct. 1), he is also the co-founder of
the Covington Domestic Violence Task Force. Contact
Curt at (256) 213-1092; clindsley@rtirguests.com

18. ==> Dr. Love – 25 Ways to Develop a Loving Attitude

Who doesn’t want to be more loving, more centered and
spiritually awake? But how do you do that? You need to
create a love action plan! Michael McGee, M.D., will
share with your audience his 25 ‘love practices’. “Love
is one of the most confused and misused words in the
English language. Love is not a feeling. Love is an
attitude that inspires to action to enhance life!” Dr.
Michael McGee trained at Stanford and Harvard Medical
Schools. He is the creator of the unique 12 Step
Touchstone Approach to Recovery and author of “The Joy
of Recovery: The New 12 Step Guide to Recovery from
Addiction”, an approach that works better than AA for
many people. Contact Dr. McGee at (978) 971-9703;

19. ==> Why Parents Should Treat Kids like Employees

Are you tired of your kids not listening to you? Do you
wish your kids would do more around the house? Are you
sick of the arguing, whining and begging? Do you just
want to like your kids more? “Yes, it’s possible!” says
Sara Sherman, long-time single mom and parenting
expert. “Guess what? At home you’re the boss!” In a
world where many are saying “Leave work at the office!”
Sara says it’s okay to bring some of it home –
especially in the area of discipline. Invite her on
your show and hear how she developed the ‘7 P’s of
Positive Parenting’ by taking cues from the way a good
boss trains and supports an employee. Sara Sherman, BA,
MS, is a speaker, author, blogger, coach and creator of
the Create Cooperative Kids program. As a single parent
for most of her adult life, Sara successfully raised
her children and earned two degrees all while working
full-time. Contact her at (614) 756-0571;

20. ==> Fulfill Your Dreams Regardless of Your Career
Disappointments

Sadly, millions of people hate their jobs and dread
going to work every day. That contributes to work-
related disappointments and strains relationships,
finances, parenting and health. Yet studies show that
following your dreams — including entrepreneurial
goals — can mean happier, more abundant and purposeful
living. Explore this on-air with Dr. Dragos Bratasanu,
author of “The Pursuit of Dreams”. He’ll give listeners
advice on how to fulfill dreams regardless of
circumstances. This expert will answer questions like:
What qualities help you be your own boss? How can you
select a business venture, and what are the initial
steps to take? Can you succeed without pricey
investments or family upheaval? What can Americans
learn from other nations/cultures? Contact Dr. Dragos
Bratasanu at DBratasanu@rtirguests.com
