1. ==> Venezuela Regime Change ‘Made in America’
Venezuelans took to the streets in massive protests
this week seeking to drive President Nicolas Maduro
from office. Through strong U.S. sanctions,
international isolation and street protests, the
opposition and its foreign allies led by the Trump
administration had hoped to rapidly achieve Maduro’s
ouster but some believe the situation could go on for
months. Steve Ellner is a writer living in Venezuela.
Currently in the U.S., he says, “Since its outset, the
Trump administration has ratcheted up pressure on
Venezuela and radicalized its positions. In the
process, the Venezuelan opposition has become more and
more associated with — and dependent on — Washington
and its allies.” Ellner is associate managing editor of
Latin American Perspectives and is the editor of The
Pink Tide Experiences: Breakthroughs and Shortcomings
in Twenty-First Century Latin America. He just wrote
the piece “Regime Change ‘Made in the U.S.A.’ Contact
him at sellner74@gmail.com, @sellner74
2. ==> Social Security Reform for Whom?
The Social Security 2100 Act is back — and this time
it could pass. Andrew Biggs, a resident scholar at the
American Enterprise Institute, says “If Republicans
ever want a deal on Social Security reform, they’re
probably going to have to live with some tax increases.
And they’re going to have to get some new reform ideas
of their own if they wish to counter a unified
Democratic party pushing the Social Security 2100 Act.”
The measure aims to raise revenue so that no benefit
cuts need to be made over the long term. It also
intends to expand benefits for current and future
beneficiaries. But Biggs says the plan simply
reshuffles most of the dollars to middle- and higher-
income retirees and leaves those who need Social
Security most, with little. Contact him at

3. ==> Why Blackface is So Offensive
Just as another incident involving blackface makes
news, a Pew poll is out showing a third of Americans
think blackface is acceptable at Halloween. What may
seem like harmless behavior to white people is deeply
offensive to black people; moreover, it is just one
aspect of lingering racial insensitivity in the U.S.
Invite Nita Wiggins to address the issue including why
she says Virginia Gov. Ralph Northam, whose yearbook
photo sparked an uproar, should resign and not just
because of the problem image. Nita will explain that
just last month, the Virginia Senate, with the approval
of the governor and despite the silent protest of the
lieutenant governor, once again honored Confederate
general Robert E. Lee during a Senate session. A former
resident of Charlottesville, Va., Nita is a professor
who teaches racial sensitivity to her journalism
students in Paris. Contact her at

4. ==> Etsy Trend Expert: How to Shop Green
You may know what to look for when you’re food
shopping, but do you know how to shop ‘green’ for your
entire home? Invite Etsy Trend Expert Dayna Isom
Johnson to discuss the notion of eco-friendly shopping.
She’ll share tips on how to shop green for your home,
the importance of understanding where and how a product
was made, and finding products that foster
sustainability and help support a green lifestyle.
Dayna is also a judge on the hit NBC craft competition
series Making It starring Amy Poehler & Nick Offerman.
She’s also a Trend Expert at Etsy, a global marketplace
for handcrafted and custom items. Contact John Angelo

5. ==> Why Female Directors Are MIA at the Oscar’s
Women have made huge inroads this year, particularly in
politics, but not when it comes to the Academy Awards
where this year’s nominees for best director include
men named Spike, Adam, Alfonso, Yorgos and Pawel.
Award-winning female film director and author Kailin
Gow will discuss why there is a lack of female
directors in Hollywood and how their absence shuts out
the perspective of half the population. Founder of the
newly launched OTT channel FemaleFlix, showcasing women
interest films, shows, activities, and news, Gow will
discuss why the number of female directors has been
declining for the past five years, how women and
minorities can break through the glass ceiling, and
what it’s like to be approached by producers with male
development teams when her own books are optioned.
Kailin Gow’s 300 plus books feature strong female
characters and have sold more than 5.5 million copies
worldwide. Her movies have won accolades at film
festivals around the world. Contact her at (617)

6. ==> Eat that Valentine’s Chocolate and Still Lose
Weight
Chocolate is everywhere this week and it’s a great gift
for Valentine’s Day, but it can be a problem if you’re
watching your weight and have an affinity for the cocoa
bean. Chocolate tops the list of foods many people
can’t stop eating until they’ve consumed the entire
box! But live on the air, Sora Vernikoff can teach your
audience her simple Green Technique that will allow
them to eat all the chocolate they want and still lose
weight. Turning conventional wisdom on its ear, she’ll
explain why thinking about food makes you fat—not
eating it—and bad-for-you foods are a myth. Sora, a
former elementary school teacher who lost 25 pounds and
has kept them off for decades, has helped hundreds of
people discover the secret for knowing when to stop
eating. She is the author of the Amazon bestseller “Eat
Want You Want! Stop When You Want!: A No-Diet, Weight-
Loss Program.” This experienced talk show guest spent
more than a decade teaching her program while working
under the auspices of a leading New York City
endocrinologist. She has also taught the program at the
Learning Annex and lectured at Lennox Hill Hospital.

7. ==> Single and Satisfied? Celebrate this Week
It’s Satisfied Staying Single Week and a great time to
talk with Patricia Houtz, author of the upcoming book
“Solo by Choice.” In 2018, according to U.S. Census
data, just 30 percent of young adults 18 to 34 were
married, a number that is half of what it was 40 years
ago. Young people are increasingly likely to delay
getting married or not get married at all, a
development that Houtz understands. She’ll discuss why
marriage isn’t for everyone and that’s a good thing. In
fact, some 55 percent of adults in the 2017 census said
marriage isn’t necessary for a happy life. Houtz can
also talk about the remarkable life she has led by
being single and child-free. That life of freedom has
included dating older men, carrying a gun and busting
drug dealers. Contact her at (775) 451-3191;

8. ==> How to Make Passive Income So You Can Retire
Ever wish you could have money coming in month after
month without doing any work? Your listeners already
know that investing in real estate is a proven way for
ordinary people to achieve financial freedom. But what
they don’t know is how to sort through all the “get-
rich-quick” hype and simply get started. That’s why
you’ll enjoy interviewing Doug Marshall, author of
“Mastering the Art of Real Estate Investing.” Doug will
reveal step-by-step what you can do part-time to buy
your first property. You’ll learn how to buy a property
below its market value without using much of your own
money and how to do it without becoming a landlord.
He’ll also reveal five mistakes to avoid when buying
rental properties. Ask him what he learned from his
“loser property” and how to overcome the fear of
getting started. Contact Doug Marshall at (508)

9. ==> What You Could Lose by Winning a Lawsuit
Legal trouble is stressful and expensive. Do you have
the right good lawyer to help you navigate a lawsuit

after your pocketbook? How is seeking courtroom justice
the priciest way to solve a problem? Are you willing to
stay the course and jeopardize your business, your
marriage or your own health? Explore many such
questions with attorney Francine Tone, Esq., who’s been
educating the public for years about getting the right
legal help, making wise decisions, asking prudent
questions, and proceeding with caution as legal
challenges unfold. A prolific author and sought-after
speaker, Francine recently released the best-selling
book “What Every Good Lawyer Wants You to Know.”
Audiences will thank you for welcoming her on-air to
talk myths and truths about lawsuits most people find
themselves embroiled in — and what might happen should
you lose OR win. She’ll also reveal whether TV legal
dramas (like Bull, Suits, The Good Fight) are anywhere
close to reality. Contact Francine Tone at (531)

10. ==> Why this Guest Received a Presidential Pardon
What’s it like receiving a Presidential Pardon? Why did
John Smith want one? He spent 5 years in public
accounting, only to get caught up in the S&L crisis
during the 1980’s. As far as he was concerned,
everything at his company was above board – until the
FBI came knocking! He came to realize the extent of his
employer’s wrongdoing – and that you don’t have to
commit a crime to be convicted of one. Interview John
and hear his incredible story of perseverance and grit.
His warning to your audience is this – If it can happen
to him… it can happen to you. John Smith is the author
of “Embracing the Abyss” and a keynote speaker on
ethics and integrity in the workplace and in life.

11. ==> Why Winter is the Best Time to Reinvent Your
Life
Is this winter weather getting you down? Then invite
Katherine Webster to share with you why winter is THE
absolute best time to reinvent your life. She’ll share
her humorous but highly effective challenge for
reinventing your life in the next seven days. Step 1:
Get a brand new hairstyle. Why? To paraphrase Coco
Chanel, the person, who changes their hair is about to
change their life. Webster knows what’s she’s talking
about. Suddenly widowed in her late 40’s she had to
take specific actions to find her joy, confidence and
completely reinvent her life. She’ll reveal something

12. == Do A Show on Medical Errors: The 3rd Leading
Cause of Death in U.S.
There are many experts who believe medical errors are
now the 3rd leading cause of death in the US – behind
cancer and heart disease. How and why is this
happening? Who is to blame? How do we fix it? For
decades, Dr. Ira Williams has been hounding the five
Federal agencies created to solve the health care
crisis in this country. With over 130 years
collectively between those agencies, our health care
system is still a mess and medical errors leading to
deaths in hospitals continues to rise. As the oldest
medical malpractice expert witness in the country, Dr.
Williams knows what he’s talking about. He’s developed
a system to empower local grassroots activists in each
state to radically change our health care delivery
system. “Organizing statewide grassroots activists to
challenge the current system is the only way to win!”
Dr. Ira Williams latest book is “Healthcare Warriors,
Why and How to Become One”. Contact him at (864)

ended by men they lived with. Including some who fell
victim even despite a restraining order. With

them and whether or not there is a safe way for them to
leave. This interview will not only promote
understanding about domestic violence but offer the
steps needed for securing the safety of women and

America’s heartland, has come up with a ten-point plan
for reducing the B.S. factor and strengthening our own
independent thought muscles. Invite her on-air to
explain the importance of questioning what you don’t
understand, sleeping on new ideas, accessing your own
inner guidance and trusting but verifying information.
